Just watched the first look/gathering videos and I feel the editing is taking a different direction. Like there's a CP ship going on (and no, I'm not talking about this season's partnership format). I'm not quite sure how I feel about it, but just hope it doesn't backfire on the show.
This guy is handsome and a good actor. He also seems to really puts himself out there in terms of acting challenges...unfortunately this probably won't translate to international success. Though, I recall vaguely that his parents are totally okay with him not being super popular because they think popularity comes with a myriad of things that are beyond his control.
Omg... thank goodness I checked the comments section here. Otherwise, I would have missed an interesting drama. The people who downvoted this drama are weird. If crime and mystery are not your genres, then move on to something else. Why down vote this? This drama is truly unique in it's genres and the cinematography is amazing.
The original work was one of the very first to introduce me to Chinese manhua, so I'm definitely watching this one. I don't really watch Ju Jingyi's dramas in general, but I think she has the vibe of the FL for this one. Sooo looking forward to it!
watched 5 eps so far and totally understand the title, Born with Luck, now. LOL love the acting of every character, like I can't think of anyone who I would say their acting is awkward or so-so. TXW, although one of the few younger actresses in this drama, did not overact and know how to let others shine when the scene calls for it.
In the chemistry dept, the two thieves were amazing as well.

Lol I was surprised it was quite obvious. I love how Zhang Yi Ang (Lawrence Wang's character) seems relatively calm about it and even picked up a piece of paper covered in 💩
I keep reading that ZLH was not supposed to attend this event but he finally did and TXW and him were not at best…
I have been lurking around the ZLH and TXW couple fan page on weibo and please, totally take it with a grain of salt...fans suspect that they were in their early days of dating at the time. Shortly after the filming for POJ, ZLH had a very busy schedule and neglected TXW. So TXW considered ending things and didn't want to see him in person. So, he decided to see her at this event to smooth things over because she had to be there and couldn't avoid him then.
Putting it as a spoiler so people won't take this melon as truth.... because at the end of the days, who really knows except for these two.

Oooh, hm....then that's interesting because in the other variety shows I have seen of her so far, she really seems like an anti-romantic. 😅 Even the production team on Sherlock mentioned that. Lol
In any case, it sounds like you have confirmed my thinking in that she's still fluent enough in the language of romance but not mother tongue level yet if she still depends on who her partner is in order to perform better (and in your case, it sounds like Xu Kai is the man for the job).
