I swear I saw a famous reuters of this show once where Su Muyu princess carries Mu Yumo so my immediate assumption was they were the CP. But now I don't think so...
bruh ppl hating on ming yi are forgetting the traumatic childhood she grew up in. she was literally forced to grow up as a man, hiding her own identity her entire life, shunned by her parents and forced to shoulder the heavy burden for yaoguang mountain since when she was a kid herself. when she's been isolated her whole life, training for this battle year after year with only 27 to rely on, of course she won't be willing to let in anyone easily, not even ji bozai. She feels indebted to him already because she's not used to relying on others, so she thinks that the less he knows (EVEN if that means lying), the better and safer it is for him. She genuinely thinks he would be better without her.
them crawling to each other, rugged and bleeding; the subconscious confession; ming yi's panic and ji bozai's knowing look...they really put the earn in yearning
I revisited this comment page after some time and all I see is Tom this, Tom that. Tom is singlehandedly keeping this fandom page alive rn...speak ur truth king‼️
even though plot was questionable, i liked how all the female characters were developed. they were more than just your typical one-dimensional 'evil' SFL, they had their own motives and ambitions but showed really good character growth as the series went on. FL had many different shades to her and I enjoyed seeing her sometimes messy, sometimes stupid moves - she was always true to herself and her values, no matter the consequences. As omniscient viewers, we can't always expect FL to be smart and rational in stressful and traumatic situations - as much as I like clever FLs, I find these kind of FLs more realistic and enjoyable to watch. FL was literally a spoiled rich girl at first, it would be weird for her to become totally independent, collected and logical. While she was stubbornly pursuing revenge against the wrong guy, she used her guiles to manipulate the men to do her bidding (she will go after your man and then also your man's father - haha damn girl). It was reckless, but again, it was true to her character - she knew what her strengths were, and she played to them. How is it any different to the FLs who use their genius and cunning? When she realised she was wrong, she again showed a new side to her, becoming more mature and less focused on herself. I felt her story was more compelling than the romance itself. One thing I didn't like was that the director def has some kinks and you can tell - all the women were getting tortured (unnecessarily). Plus the sideplot where SFL was chained and had to essentially serve the SML at his feet? Yeah, director, you're not being subtle.
I don’t understand, then who wrote the first letter? Where did the letter that the father wrote go? In the future,…
The first letter was written by the father in 2026, before he disappeared. He was waiting for the letter bc he knew that the Haitang of 1991 would be sending her first suicide letter soon, but didn't know when, so that's why he waited near the postbox.
wowww watching her go from happy sunshine to depressed girl in real time was crazy work, director/writer did such a good job at portraying her mental spiral
ji bozai: say less
