Oh now I understand. After seeing ep 23, I actually like how FL has her priorities straight, it's always been her and her family first. But it's also where the romance suffers since she would prefer to do things alone than include him in her plans. Which, in the end, is realistic to her character so far. I think the issue lies in the fact that at this point in the drama we would expect some growth, esp now her memories are back.

LotDT did that really well! In terms of "I'd let the world burn for you" type leads, I feel like this drama had the potential to get there - especially with that scene of him interrogating all the Beiyuan delegation. But now it's just unnecessarily dragging out the separation
