I think Kang Cheol and Yeo Ri will be endgame. Yun Gap is dead, and even if the FL tries to bring his soul back, I think she will end up failing.
They didn't really flesh out Gap's character before killing him off, while it's the opposite with Kang Chul and his character arc is set up really well for the upcoming narrative (grappling with his own mortality and feelings for humankind after having lived in resentment for so long). Plus they immediately made sure the FL knew it was Kang Chul who possessed the body to avoid any confusion romance-wise.
I do think Gap will play an important part of the the story, especially the mystery of the palace conspiracy, but won't be the endgame.
its her mother she wants to save bc she apparently has unconditional love for the woman she just met few months…
Well it definitely is conditional, if we see how she treats her father compared to her mother. she's intelligent enough to peel back their facades on the first day of coming back home itself, and even after then she realises she still doesn't know their motives. she's smart enough to realise that the people who seem kind to her hide an evil side, and vice versa. she had her suspicions that her mother has suffered, and was willing to do what she needed to do to get to the bottom of things - but that means making sure her mother is alive first. She knows deep down her mother has suffered. As a woman who was traumatised and abused herself, she would be able to notice another woman's trauma. Even if her mother showed her cruelty, Hanyan is inherently a stubborn and determined character, so once she sets her mind on something there's little that will stop her.

I mean she's been traumatised and abused by her foster parents for years, so of course she's desperate for parental love - proof that she does have someone who loves her unconditionally after feeling so lonely.
I don't understand: Chen MoMo saw the hankie was given to Zhuang Yu Shan. Why did Ruan Xi Wen still used it with…
They only knew half her plan, and wanted to "bait" her out into executing her plan fully so they can catch her in the act. I'm assuming they also probably wouldn't have let her get so far in her plan but so much drama was already happening at the banquet that they got distracted. Either way, this has escalated so much now the noble consort is involved, so Yu Shan will probably face more serious consequences (hope she gets her karma!)
subbed trailer just dropped! https://x.com/duduling1018/status/1903337667082740159it has spoilers about roughly…
the marriage scenes happen in chapter 2 according to the trailer, meaning it will happen somewhere between now and episode 20. my guess is closer to episode 20, e.g episode 17
I wonder if Ruyin actually doesn't know anything about Shiyang being the adopted son. Everytime her daughter asked her, she looked kinda shifty. At the very least, I think she has some suspicions but obviously wouldn't want to confess.
Everytime I think the plot couldn't get more thrilling, they go and add even more high stakes. Future watchers, if you're considering watching this drama, learn some breathing and meditation exercises beforehand 😭
