Just watched the preview of Episode 12 and it seems that there is a scene where Wang Wook will cowardly reason his actions and betray her (easily said, they'll break up) which will leave Hae Soo heart broken of~course! I think this might give a closure to such a relationship but don't want the writers to elongate/stretch it i.e. make Hae Soo too sad about Wang Wook's sudden change towards her!! I hope she realises that he betrayed her once and is shown to quickly move on as we're already in the second phase of the drama and people such as Queen Yoo, Wang Yo, Wang Wook, Yeon Hwa, Wang Woo (the evil ones) need to be taught a lesson!
Basically, the show (in my opinion) should now quickly (not VERY quickly but not VERY slowly either) divert Hae Soo's feelings (and not spend more time in making anymore situations to make her fall in love with Wang So all over again or from scratch as by now he's done enough to show his affection and its not that he will stop doing so either) towards the 4th Prince and catch up with the political part of the story (eg. next king, marriages etc).
Ofcourse, up till the 11th episode the foundation has been built, the main characters have suffered and two of the last episodes were beautifully done which not only increased Hae Soo's maturity but showed us the other side of Wang Wook too! Now its time for some "ass-kicking" :P
As much as I love Kang Ha Neul, his character is the kind of men I hate the most. "I love you" "I…
I mean, its right for Wang Wook to have felt disappointed at the fact that Wang Soo is not scared to make mistakes just like the time when he took Hae Soo out of the palace in a whim which Wang Wook would think a thousand times over to do even that much! :O
I mean, all Wang Wook does is make empty promises and couldn't even retort back to Court Lady Oh when she caught them at the secret bath place! And in the initial episodes, he looked so in love with Lady Hae (his wife)! :O And on top of her demise, they both want to marry?! I mean, in that era this whole situation would've looked fine but Hae Soo is still someone from the 21st century isn't she?
Can't really argue much as people in love could sometimes make the most funny decisions!!
If the writers are now scooping up the story in favour of Wang So, they better do it well! The main lead's romance needs to surface now (I mean, we're already at Episode 11 aren't we?) and Wang So should be given in control of the drama for a while before throwing him into another poor and pitiful scene such as the situations he's overcome until now! :(
It was so saddening to see him look at Hae Soo when she was unknowingly serving him the tea mixed with poison! "Hae Soo, I'm drinking the poison that you're serving me!" :'( GOSH! Its like he wanted to tell her so bad, make her realise somehow!
Also, whatever happened to the time when Hae Soo was asked to taste the tea before serving it to the Crown Prince? Was that "testing team" also in compliance with the evil Queen?
I think they should not have made Soo and Prince wook's relationship that strong because it's gonna…
Oh my god, can't agree more with @Brookiebbz and @blacklatina! Usually, by the 10th episode in a 20 episode drama, the main couple get together and then in the following episodes (if its a historical drama like this one) go through hardships to come out as happily ever after. Contrastingly, even now Hae Soo seems to love Wang Wook very dearly which makes me want to loose hope for the main lead's romance. But other than that, its a great drama with a good story. I just wish Hae Soo comes around for Wang So soon enough as he now literally deserves it. Because its very clear that Wang Wook's character is going to flip around and he's gonna want to get to the throne too in order to have the authority to keep Hae Soo with him!
OMG! Episode 10 though! :O
Why do I have a feeling that they will leave us with a cliff hanger in the end of Episode 11!!?
Gosh, not watching Episode 11 until next Monday! :'(
Just saw Episode 9 and finally understand why all this hype about IU's acting is going around! To be very honest…
Thank you! I guess, unless the story unfolds and the reasons and suspense which justifies her actions in Episode 9 are told to us in the coming episodes, I'll have to be patient! As a viewer, I didn't like her being that scared but the kiss could change things up or SBS is building an atmosphere to deliver a huge plot twist to us so haha lets look forward to that! :)
how does Princess Hwang Bo Yeon Hwa love the 4th prince isn't he her brother?
I think that according to Episode 10's preview, Princess Yeon Hwa could possibly get hitched to the 3rd Prince coz she desperately wants to become the Queen and hence decides to join 3rd Prince's mother!! Or could want to join hands with her (if not marriage!). Anyway, in my case it seems like the Princess expected a lot from the 8th Prince but is slowly loosing hopes!
8th prince I love youu, I feel so sorry for you because the mighty rules of drama will make you suffer a lot although…
@BeautifulSwan I felt super sad for Wang So during that scene when she clearly tells him that she's afraid of him because in episode 8 she touched his face and told him that if he trusts her first she can guarantee him that she won't change her attitude towards him!
Just saw Episode 9 and finally understand why all this hype about IU's acting is going around! To be very honest guys, its not IU but her character that made us unhappy due to her actions in the 9th episode, which has no relation with IU's talent as an actor! I am not happy with the way her character had been written in Episode 9. The points where I didn't find any sense were the ones where she thinks she can "change" Wang Soo but is not looking at other possibilities such as her visions could be wrong or even if they are right, her wanting to "change" him could also bring a complete opposite effect hence ending up becoming the reason why Wang Soo turns out like the prophecy she fears of at the first place!! And honestly, Wang Wook's character in Episode 9 made me raise doubts about him (gosh, if there is a twist I can't wait to know!!!)
Also, the show is exciting to wait for every week and the story is not THAT bad either (if only I can figure the suspense out hahah!) but I'm only disappointed from the aspect that I eagerly looked forward to Lee Jun Ki's drama this year and now that its here, all I see is Wang Wook winning over Hae Soo (which maybe the original plot line and if the story needs Wang Wook and Hae Soo to be together which they think makes the story interesting or if they want to surprise us I don't know but Jun Ki <3 and wasn't Jun Ki announced as the first male lead?)
I read some comments where some people ended up reading the story (or even watching it but I can't do 35 episodes as my internet browsing has a limit) of the Chinese version and they regretted it as I've heard the Chinese version ended up in a tragedy? Is the Korean version (particularly SBS) following the Chinese version exactly, point to point or do they change some parts of the Chinese version of the story? And I'm boiling with suspense right now (which has not happened quite often as I could usually predict where the plot is moving towards) and really want answers or theories to my questions which is urging me to go on Wikipedia and read the Chinese version's storyline (but I won't unless someone convinces me with a good reason to go ahead and do so!)
I found that if you Watch the drama on kissasian.com, it is the korean tv version with all the scenes. and ofc,…
Yeah! Hence, I don't feel bothered about the whole confusion on edited and unedited! I tried looking at the ones everyone was talking about (the original ones) and found out that Kissasian.com gives the original version, with subs ofcourse! I was just going to text Hessa one last time asking her about the version on KissAsian until I came through this comment! Thank you! :)
I don't know which I'm more freaking out because of, the end of episode 9 or the preview for episode 10
Gawd, this makes sense! But if Hae Soo's reaction (considering she knows pretty well about the prophecy) makes him miserable by the time he becomes the Emperor, then do you think that the romance we're all looking forward to will make it into a tragic ending? :O

She is the only one who seems so motherly towards Hae Soo (just like before Lady Hae passed away!)!
