“It is pretty pathetic how they want celebrities careers to end for bullying in high school when Korean netizens are the biggest bullies in the world.” Couldn’t have said it better myself. What pisses me off is they do it sitting on a chair in front of a computer never having to get off their lazy backsides. They are truly the cancer of social media.
I know , they are happy with this small victory but they can't see the bigger lose later , it's funny some people…
@maritrib "And culture is not a western thing. It is a global thing." Yes, an important point that people tend to forget.
"The oldest countries with culture are the ancient Greeks, the ancient Chinese, Arabs and Persians (the last were the first recorded with any culture, art and tradition)..." You forgot about Indigenous Australians.
Now that you mention it, I wonder if Moon Lovers would've gotten the backlash too since it's a remake of a Chinese…
@dramadiary2 "The whole show is aired at tricking foreign audiences into thinking Korea is a part of China." Well, that's a sweeping statement. Which foreign audiences?
*facepalm* The cancellation just gave power and validation to these internet activists. I wouldn't be surprised…
@princessof summer Oh you can bet it won't end with Joseon Exorcist. Thank the PTB, they've opened the flood gates and given carte blanche to the Knetz to go ballistic.
Care to enlighten us why they are suddenly attacking Mr. Queen and dragging its actors into this issue? Was it…
@YourOnlyOne "Currently, I'm seeing it as "because China" and everything else were only used to flame the fire. In mainland China, I actually think their government is behind the cultural attacks against other nations, they are using their own people to attack Korea without making it [obviously] political and militaristic."
And they are very good at that. You only have to search/find articles on the tensions between Australia and China over the past few months.
In the spirit of fussing about everything and anything under the sun...The Korean film industry is going to loose…
@Hermine Voltaire "Why bother starting any Korean drama or any Korean movie for that matter if the power of production and the power of broadcasting are in fact solely resting in the hands of Knetzs and Netizens...?"
First and only reason why I don't watch any Kdrama while it's airing...after its completion I usually binge watch it. If I don't like it and stop watching (which is rare for me) then that's MY CHOICE and not in the hands of a bunch of netizens. Their power is scary that they can have a show pulled and tear down cast and/or crews' livelihood - that it is beyond my comprehension. All I can see is that there must be such a deep-seeded hatred between Korea and China that goes back a long way.
Cheating (male or female) ... it's a choice not a mistake! It's all about having what you want or wanting what you have, it's really not a hard choice.
Not sure what you mean by "what is this quote for lol" and if lol is sarcasm. If you mean "what is its meaning" then that is how I will respond.
It just means don’t be quick to attack a person who doesn’t think the way you do e.g. you may have certain thoughts about what Ji Soo is being accused of and if he doesn’t think the same way then he is attacked/condemned.
Maybe a person doesn't responded the way some believe he/she should respond (because that’s the way they think a person should respond in a certain situation) so they continue to quickly condemn and before you know it the media will have you hating the oppressed (in this case Ji Soo) and loving the people who are doing the oppressing, that is herd mentality.
The quote is really about tolerance and understanding. You don't need to condone something to understand it.
“Don't be in a hurry to condemn because he doesn't do what you do or think as you think or as fast. There was a time when you didn't know what you know today.” ― Malcolm X
Unfortunately everybody HAS the right to say whatever they want... if somebody thinks you are wrong they can say…
Just went back and re-read your comments. Sounds like you have lived your own Kdrama. I remember reading a very long time ago about how the male brain develops much slower than the female brain at the same chronological age and as you say aren't fully developed until 25 (though for some I wonder about that :)). People are going to spew hate no matter what and degrade your opinion, that's part of the herd mentality. I didn't see you making excuses, to me you were commenting taking into account your own life experiences. Loved your last sentence.
Very well said. Knetz ARE the scariest people on earth.. I am 67 years old and I have never seen such mean ,evil…
Absolutely true. I'm not sure what their pay-off is but this thing called social media has become cancerous and is turning people into exactly how you described them. Today I was reading an actor's bibliography and someone commented that he was ugly but a good actor. Makes me wonder why someone would say something so unkind about another person's appearance. Some days I lose faith in human kind. Stay safe.
Opinion: a view or judgement formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.
Knets are the scariest people on this planet because of the "power" they believe they have over someone’s life/career/reputation and yet they end up being nobody special hiding behind anonymity. Obviously there are many who want to tear him down, much like Kim Hyun Joong experienced. Why! I don’t know why, maybe because of this power trip obsession which some think they are entitled to simply because they are fans who watch/support kdramas.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion without name calling, lies, twisting someone’s words etc. You are entitled to believe or not believe every little word written about Kim Ji Soo but you do not have the right to tell someone that their opinion is wrong. Sadly, sarcasm is rife on many of MDL forums.
And for the record: I don’t condone the actions Kim Ji Soo has been accused of. I don’t follow the herd mentality of some Knets. I don’t take on the role of judge, jury and executioner.
I still do not anticipate his return. He is just like another rotten example of Korean people who abuse their…
@Nauriya “And I am sure, he has done far worse things.”. Like what? “He has no right to be seen on television, no right.” He has a right like anyone else to earn a living and acting is his bread and butter....you don’t have to watch him, that’s your choice.
