Does someone know where I can watch with eng sub and if not without any subs cus I'm desperate lol
You can download or watch on Winspedia but sometimes it's uploaded from Gcinee. Not to put Gcinee down but I avoid Gcinee where ever possible now as you have to put up with the all the advertising of Gcinee on the screen which seems like every 5 minutes e.g. "He's coming to me". I don't remember it being so bad when I first came across Gcinee but HCTO It was the worst I'd ever come across and it wasn't in small text either and logos in all corners. I found it totally distracting and it took away my enjoyment of the show. If Gcinee is the only subbed one out there then you have no other choice I guess.
Theory of Love. Story wise, its not that complicated. Its a story of a guy name third who has an unrequited love…
@rsai92 That’s a really good post. Nice to read a positive comment about two people who rode that rickety roller coaster to their love story’s conclusion. One thing I did discover about myself is: I’ve always liked Gun’s pairing with Off and in this drama I never tired looking at Gun’s face/facial expressions...first time his expressive face brought me to tears more than once. Cheers!
Thanks for suggesting this...I might think about it with a bit of tweaking. I went for point form as I tend to waffle on too much when my comments become “lengthy”. Cheers !
Song sung by Getsunova...I think the English name for it is “The Longest Silence”. There’s oodles of Getsunova…
Hadn’t heard the English version before...must have missed it during the countless times I watched Getsunova’s MV. Hopefully this might lead them to produce more English translated songs.of theirs.
What a beautiful series led by 2 beautiful young actors and hasn’t Ohm come a long way since Make It Right series. He has matured so much physically I was quite surprised. Singto is a naturally gifted actor and I just love watching him on screen. As a couple they sizzled.
The final episode WOW…thank goodness I had a box of tissues handy. The ending sort of surprised me a little…if it was to have a happy ending I couldn’t quite fathom out how that was going to happen but I’ll take what we got, it was more than I expected.
I enjoyed watching Chimon (always do) and the antics of Harit who I’ve nicknamed Chetwaggon (so as to remember his name) again. Chimon throughout the series made me smile as he had so many mannerisms of “Sun”.
The female actor who played Thun’s mother was a real delight to watch. She played her role very convincingly as a mother who loved and supported her child at a time when he was confused and scared of who he thought he should be vs who he knew he was.

FINAL THOUGHTS
My thoughts/feelings/opinions, in point form, in no specific order.
*A dream end to a love story that was frustrating, moving, remarkable, maddening, tearful, challenging. *Some of the best acting I’ve seen from the main players. *Great soundtrack…discovered Getsunova because of it. *Gangsta: what a great friendship, the bestest…loved it. *Favourite line: hard to choose, eventually went with Khai’s “if you still think what I’ve done here is not love, I really don’t know what love is to you”. I chose this line because he simply spoke his heart’s truth. *Khai: going against most (but not all) opinions here, love the character, worts and all. Have always had a soft spot for Off from the first show I watched him in which I think was “Love Sick”. *Third: love/dislike the character, victim, unforgiving, exasperating, hopelessly in love, blew hot & cold, a little selfish, cuddlesome. His smile (which became almost non-existent in the later episodes) when finally, finally accepting Khai was a bewdy. Gun has a wonderful smile. *Not everyone ends up getting what they want, but then again that’s Love, Actually. Commiserations Bone. *Knew that would happen moment: (Bone+new girl)- thinking of movies “Xanadu” (Olivia Newton John's muse comes to life) “One touch of venus” (Ava Gardner's) and “Mannequin” (Kim Cattrall's) mannequin comes to life). If you’ve seen these movies hopefully you’ll get my point. *Fell in love with: White all over again…my pick of the character crop of the cast actors. Many actors should re-think their Beatles mop-top hair-do sometimes…never knew White had such a gorgeous face when all his face (and not 2/3 of it) is showing. Everyone should have a friend like him. Loved his red messenger bag be carried around simply because it had the names of Off and White on it…wonder if it was his own personal bag. *Best new actor find: Foei Patara Eksangkul (Shane - he’s a natural). *Have seen most episode titled movies except “The Last Moment” and “My Dear”. On IMDB there were a few movies titled “The last Moment”, I chose one for my reference to Episode 9’s scene of Khai’s motor cycle crash which was about the theory of your life passing before your eyes just before death. Could not find any info for “My Dear” (I assume it’s a movie since it is the final episode title). *Favourite episode movie title: “Love, Actually” because if brought back many sad and happy memories for me. When Khai was watching romance movies (to find the “theory of love”) he was holding “Love, Actually” dvd…my eyes welled up, it was a poignant moment for me…first time I watched it was with my late husband, it’s one of my yearly must-watch Chrissie movies with a great soundtrack. “God only knows what I’d do without you”…yep! *Khai using Third’s flash cards idea for confessing to Third his feelings (for the umpteenth time - think that’s been used a few times in movies since L,A). *Scene skipping: Paan with and/or without Bone. *Loved the slow piano instrumental piece of the show’s theme that was played a few times at certain moments throughout the series. *Re-watch: oh yeah, I’ll join that line, I’m a glutton for punishment. *Final though: I guess we all know who will wear the pants in the Khai/Third family.
And so, *Nothing to do with Theory of Love but it is a love story: my favourite rom-com movie “When Harry Met Sally” … incorporating the elderly couples' stories into the story was genius. End scene when Harry tells Sally what he loves about her after which he declared:
“I came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible”.
I thought of this scene when Khai was telling Third what he now thought loving Third was all about and wanting to grow old with him. Also, love is important but liking the person is even better. Nora Ephron was perhaps Hollywood’s best rom-com writer who sadly is no longer with us.
Okay, gonna shoot through now…thanks everyone…stay safe. Hooroo, later, see ya.
@anchorenomore I enjoyed your review very much. I kept ticking the boxes as I was reading along. Before I put up my (Moonstruck) reply comment below I was going to make a final comment of my thoughts/feelings before last night’s final episode aired but couldn’t decide whether to or not as I thought I waffled on too much but after reading your review I thought “why not” so added it this morning. I also haven't put any of it as a spoiler as the final episode has aired.
“Unless you love someone, nothing else makes sense.” ― E.E Cummings
I don’t mind admitting that I’m a romantic at heart. I still believe in love even though I’ve been hurt big time by love but it hasn’t made me jaded. I don’t believe Khai and Third’s relationship is toxic…it’s not good but not toxic and even though they are both as bad as each other they deserve to have a chance just like any other 2 people who love each other. Relationships are a working progress and no relationship is perfect no matter how much we wish it to be.
Many have continually bashed Khai even when he’s been trying to be the opposite of what he once was for Third. I don’t think you can knock a person for trying…it’s when you don’t try that you fail.
When you get to be my age life is too short to waste on feelings/actions of unforgiving. I believe people deserve a chance and (God forbid I’m saying this) some even a second chance depending on the circumstances. Maybe I read too much into the train station scene and, even though I haven’t seen the final episode yet, the whole train station scene was such a powerful and yet underplayed moment for me in the series so far…Third walking slowly towards lonely, vulnerable Khai, Khai seeing Third and then walking towards him…talking to each other…Khai trying to hold it together and then Third finally taking that leap of faith, his first genuine step towards forgiveness in hugging Khai…for me THAT WAS THEIR WATERSHED MOMENT.
The train station scene also summed up for me who they are now (before watching the final episode). KHAI: “you can be lonely in a room full of people” is how I’ve often seen Khai’s persona. (I know, I know, people are thinking 'seriously'!!). I don’t know why I feel like that other than maybe because his thoughtless, uncaring womanising actions were hiding something else and if I tried to articulate it I would probably make a mess of it so I won’t. I’m female and through my life experiences I’ve learned that men are very good at wearing masks, really good. It’s not meant to be a negative criticism towards men in general, it’s just what I’ve seen/learned along the way.
I think Khai has never really had a true connection with anyone (which, I think, is how you can be lonely in a room full of people), the only exception being Third who he took for granted time and time again, thinking he’d always be there if and when he needed him. I believe Khai did truly like Third, his best friend as a friend but simply put, he was also handy to have around, then one day he wasn’t.
Now having waited all day on the station and into the night Khai must have had a sense that the other 3 weren’t going to turn up and of course realised it when Third turned up without baggage and neither did Two/Bone appear with Third but he waited because of a promise he made and because he is still trying. And in that moment of his aloneness, just as Third walked onto the platform where he was sitting, Khai’s body language made me think of my favourite quote that I love from one of my favourite 90s movie “Reality Bites” (starring Winona Ryder and Ethan Hawke) which popped into my head.
"I have this planet of regret sitting on my shoulders” (spoken by Troy Dwyer, played by Ethan Hawke).
THIRD: Finally Third understood Khai’s sincerity in “I’m going to be a better person for you”. The way I saw it his non-belief in Khai’s sincerity as a changed person has been Third’s stumbling block, his jealousy and Khai’s past history, his willingness to listen to others but not Khai and for the most part (for me) he has been playing the victim for far too long but in those moments on the station he finally saw Khai for the person who he is becoming and started to let that wall fall down.
Well that’s it in a nutshell. Hope you all (or most of you) enjoyed the final episode. I have to wait a day or so for the English subs. but I will watch it raw first which is something I’ve done throughout this series and something which I’ve never done in a subbed show before. Cheers!
Wow it's funny that I published my review on this story and used a Cher reference and didn't even see your comment…
WOW that is funny….I made that comment after I was watching a TOL YT tube clip a day for so ago (can’t remember if it was one of the 1/4s of Ep.11 or another clip) and, for some reason while watching it, a voice popped into my head with “snap out of it”. I knew it was from a movie and I knew the voice was a Brooklyn accent but couldn’t quite remember what that damn movie was and it drove me mad so after repeating that line to myself quite a few times bingo! Cher’s voice came to me so I knew straight away it was Moonstruck. I always new Cher could sing but after watching Moonstruck all those years ago (1987) not only did I know she could sing but realised SHE COULD ACT. It’s apparently unusual for rom-com movies to win awards. I can only think of one other rom-com movie where one of the leads was awarded an AA and that was Richard Dreyfuss for best performance by an actor in a leading role for “The Goodbye Girl" (1977) written for the screen by Neil Simon. It also won Best Picture and Neil Simon was nominated for best writing. The Goodbye Girl was another movie filmed in New York. I just love movies where New York is the backdrop for the movie. Cheers!
I love movies, always have, always will. As a kid we called them "the flicks", I can even remember movies I watched in the 50s. My top 5 favourites I watch time and time again. The one thing I love about this series is the constant references to movies and the naming of each episode after a movie.
THEORY OF LOVE. "The triangular theory of love is a theory of love developed by Robert Sternberg, a member of the Psychology Department at Yale University. ... In the short-term, it refers to "the decision that one loves a certain other", and in the long-term, it refers to "one's commitment to maintain that love.”
I loooooove Ronnie Cammareri's "theory of love" from the movie Moonstruck: starring Cher and Nicholas Cage. This should be on every one's movie watch list....Cher is a knockout for which she was awarded an academy award for the best performance by a female in a motion picture. in 1987.
"Loretta, I love you. Not like they told you love is, and I didn't know this either, but love don't make things nice - it ruins everything. It breaks your heart. It makes things a mess. We aren't here to make things perfect. The snowflakes are perfect. The stars are perfect. Not us. Not us! We are here to ruin ourselves and to break our hearts and love the wrong people and *die*. The storybooks are *bullshit*. Now I want you to come upstairs with me and *get* in my bed!"
This is KIND OF a spoiler, but what you want basically happens half way through the show, Third realizes he's…
Ah ha, do we ever really know the reason why we fall in love with a certain person? Your sentence made me think of a conversation between In and Sun in the 2nd episode of Our Skyy.
"Sun: You know what, I should hate you instead of like you. In: Uhm right, then why? Sun: Because if we like someone sometimes you don’t need a reason for it."
I'm trying to remember the timeline in the novel, someone help me out, but Khai tells her, via text, that he is…
That’s a good pick up. I’ve only read an English translation of the novel once and found it difficult sometimes in following the dialogue, at times I didn't know who was talking particularly if a name wasn't mentioned. Maybe I wasn't used to the style of writing from the author or, it wasn't the best translation or, I guess, that I’m probably used to reading non translated English books.
Anyway, I checked it out...after the train station event Khai and Third finally had a real conversation about "that kiss". Khai showed Third the texting conversations between himself and ChingChing which happened before the "fated" dinner and which she started with:
“I’m ChingChing, we met at the audition. The conversation ended that day, Khai’s response was the same, and then they didn’t speak until the next day. Every day there is a message from her but Khai always responded with “Mmm” and not much else until….” She eventually told him she wanted him to join the sound dept dinner to which he responded “I think that we don’t have to be close” and proceeded to tell her “I already had someone I like, and I’m after him. His name is Third, do you still remember it right!. I don’t want him to be unhappy.” He eventually attended the dinner. I haven’t quoted the total texts of the conversations they had but it’s roughly how it went down in the English translated version I read.
Agree...his body language showed that when he shifted his body away from her when she first sat down. It was plain as the nose on your face that she was up to no good the minute she deliberately rode her bike in front of Khai's motor cycle.
Agreed with all except Bone being a jerk. The way they wrote it, he didn't have a choice. Can you imagine finding…
Not sure if I should spoiler this so better to be safe than sorry. Yes, I never really saw Bone as a playboy as such and I don’t think Bone would have liked being “the other man” though I do think he shouldn’t have “kissed” teacher lady while she was in a vulnerable state helped along with the alcohol. If that is his taste in women then all I can say is blah!!!
My nickname for teacher lady was “Sad Sack” (sorry lol) and I don’t usually like to criticise actors but every time I saw her I kept thinking she needs to go and see Singto to get some real tips on how to use facial expressions to continue telling the story without the dialogue (I'm thinking in part here when they were sitting on the couch after Bone had taken her home). Her acting in this drama was mediocre to say the least. Their pairing had minus chemistry for me and I don’t like the fact that their scenes take up valuable space on my laptop.
That’s a really good post.
