This drama is ruining my life, it’s all I think about pretty much all day. It has ruined almost all other dramas…
Same. I feel better knowing I'm not alone. I have re-watched the later episodes several times each but soon I'm going to watch from the beginning and see what I've missed. I've started several other dramas, some of them things rec here on MDL. I last a little bit and then I'm like, until LTL is over I just cannot watch anything else, they all just pale by comparison. Especially Bon Appétit. The male lead is kind of hot so I was kind of enjoying it but then it starts with the filler and the soundtrack was pretty mediocre and like monstersnroses said, it's just typical crowd-pleasing whatever. After Raul....I mean who can compete.....he's just beyond.
how many epi are released, does anyone have link for the latest one?
Up to 9. Scroll down, a couple links were posted, one without subs, another w Spanish subs...someone will probably post when the English subs get released.....if you dont want to wait forever for NF.
I’m absolutely loving this drama. If you aren’t watching it you should be. It’s nearly perfectly cast. The…
I said on Discord, if it's not a happy ending, I will make my own HE in my mind, like I did w CLOY, In my mind, I will say, "the writers got it wrong. These two made it and now they have two darling little mini-Taigas, and their best friends are Kawahara and Monomo (who also got married haha)."
So I went and browsed the MDL pages of the writer and director, and it makes me wonder how did this genius drama…
Good question. Do you think maybe someone in the host industry, knowing of the new laws being passed, asked for it? Bc sounds like there are other perhaps less flattering dramas about the host industry (someone mentioned Callboy)...
So a couple days ago, a few people said LTL was being "hotly" discussed in Japan. Would anyone like to share what the Japanese audiences are saying about it? TIA
Great suggestions here! And everyone has different tastes for sure, but I will say that for me, Ai no, Gakkou,/Learning…
Thanks! I look forward to seeing more contemporary Japanese dramas. I know that the classics are out of this world. I do think LTL will be a classic. It’s an intelligent drama w a stellar cast and production team. Kudos to the director and writer. They paid so much attention to detail. The writer said she pictured a more sophisticated hat for kaouru. But the director thought they should be from a touristy seaside shop. Those simple hats also spoke to what the writer said when she wanted the leads to be ordinary people. I wish there were more detailed discussions on Reddit like is easy to find w mediocre dramas. The writer said she wanted to use symbols like the hat, pen, umbrella, etc. Trains play a big role. In a later episode manami is running alongside the train. And when she calls Kaouru to warn him about her dad the red lights of the track are dinging. And in the latest episode, Dvorak’s “Going home” is playing. Erik Satie was in the background earlier in a cafe w Takawara .Such intelligent film making. Honestly I know we’re all saying it but it’s pretty hard to watch anything else after this one. It’s like going from a gourmet meal to Denny’s.
Maybe it's too soon for subs, but if anyone has the Spanish version of 9 yet, would love to see a link! (Or English, but seems like Spanish comes first usually) Thx
Masaki Suda. The name should have been Hiiragi sorry, was naming by memory. Should have looked it up. I just saw it on someone’s list of good Japanese dramas. It’s a bit older. 2019
