cant believe not just that there are only 8 episodes but we have to wait until january for the second half?! this is gearing up to be one of the best kdramas of the year, i dont want it to end so soon. wouldve been perfect if they couldve given us 12 eps with each life lasting at least a full one. cast is incredible as expected, cant wait!!
song kang isnt my fave, this is the only project of his ive watched lol. i just thought he was really good in s1 and anticipated his performance in s2. i went back and rewatched the episodes i sat on my phone for and still feel the same :I
ah hate to say it but im disappointed with this one. its hard to say because i was obsessed with s1 when it came out and have been so hyped for S2 ever since, i guess maybe my hopes were too high. i would say the main issue is the fact they included SO many new characters, it felt like the show was struggling to keep up with all the different storylines, and the stories were just boring. Heck i found myself scrolling through my phone with this as background noise, i never did that with s1. If they got rid of the whole military story i doubt anyone would even notice. I liked the young soldier guy and the monster girl, but that was about it.
and the fact our ML just disappeared for three straight episodes! i was so confused! Song Kang is one of the highlights in the whole show and to just have him go was a strange choice.
there was sadly what felt like a whole lot of filler and not much action, the old cast seemed forgotten in the wave of new characters. also most things were never fully explained, i was confused the whole time until the final episode. im hoping S3 returns back to what made S1 so good, and its released quickly so i can get over my sadness!
plot armour here was insane, especially ep 7. how everyone survived baffles me, the archery girl got shot multiple times literally in the face!! Usagi cut her wrist but somehow survived all night. All of them were hurt in critical places, how they didnt bleed out i dont know.
Im not complaining, i was so relieved to see Kuina and Chishiya alive, but realism seemed to go out the window, it felt like there were no real stakes anymore
so wish this was longer, after waiting 2 years and watching it in a day i still need more! im a little confused by the ending, seems enough to finish the series but also a possibility for another season? lets see, Alice in borderland is easily one of the best shows ive watched :)
can't believe this is coming out in 8 days and we've only had two short trailers and some stills... honestly the promos have been rubbish so far, its such a shame :(
from the trailer for part 2 I heard of one of the thieves is a traitor what is your guys guess on who it is?
hmm... from watching the original ver i would say Rio is most likely but even there he doesn't actually betray them. I get the feeling things might be quite a bit different here, id guess Berlin, Oslo or Helsinki
havent watched the original to i went into this completely blind. i really enjoyed the story and the tension was INSANE, especially in episodes 2-4. The pacing was perfect for me, this kept me absolutely gripped and i ended up binging it in one evening. I just wish they could've released all 12 episodes now, its killing me knowing were going to have to wait at least another 3 months. i fear a lot of the momentum built by the first half will be lost by then
i loved the majority of the characters, the acting was superb. favourite was definitely Rio, followed by Tokyo, Misun and Denver. i wasnt a huge fan of the Professor, from what ive heard the Spanish Professor is miles better, and i can see how this is the case. I loved Yoo Jitae in Mad Dog but felt he never quite got fully into the role here, lets see how he does in the next part.
by what a lot of people here are saying the original is better, so will probably have a watch while i wait for part 2 to come out. but overall this was a fantastic watch! 9/10

originally i thought it was unlikely purely because of how netflix seemed to put so little effort into promos, but with the ending im dying for more!
