Ryung Goos' story had me sobbing again, ive never seen Yun Ji On before, i hope his amazing performance here gets him more main roles! He's easily my favourite character.
cant wait to find out the other's back stories next week, this show just keeps on getting better :)
episode 9 may be the most unexpected, and one of the best yet! i went into it expecting to laugh at the concept of them trying to save a dog, but by the end i was bawling my eyes out. they somehow managed to get the emotions of Kong so well and his backstory was just so heartbreaking. also shoutout to one of my kpop biases Cha Hakyeon for his guest roll - his crying hurt to watch too.
cant wait for tomorrows episode, ive been intrigued about Ryung Goo's story the whole time
really enjoying this drama so far but i have a serious problem with how Goo Ryun was talking to the bullied girl on the roof. i really felt she went wayy too far when she started blaming the girl for being bullied, saying it was her fault and she should be stronger. then basically encouraging her to jump just to reconsider her options... sheesh it was incredibly hard to watch. seeing the girl in so much distress too just felt wrong, i wish i couldve jumped in and saved her myself! the drama so far seems to treat suicide like a simple choice - little do they seem to know just how far someone has to be pushed to even get to that mentality
THEN she said it was the girls fault for letting those things affect her, that was my last straw!!
i used to be bullied several years ago before i dropped out and i believe itll effect me for the rest of my life. it got me in a very bad place mentally, if someone had come up to me and told me straight it was all my fault and to just end everything it would only confirm my false thoughts and fuel my depression how Goo Ryun thinks shes helping people by talking in this way i cant understand. i hope Joon Woong's more sensitive approach will change her
so sad i finished this, couldnt help but watch it in one sitting! the chemistry between Seoham and Jaechan is so natural and cute, im obsessed with them. the ending had me squealing! it was perfect but i still want more! guess we'll have to wait for Seoham to finish in the military first :'(
as soon as Woojin's sister was introduced i knew he would die😭 it seems in this show as soon as someone has any character development theyre killed off. i loved the actor in Racket Boys! i believe hes in the military now but cant wait to see more from him
interesting ending... have to say honestly im disappointed. Up until ep 7 i was 100% invested in this drama, i guess Hyun Soo's transformation took me by surprise - i get hes been through so much but it felt slightly unbelievable. To then see him make no reaction to being sentenced to life imprisonment and then be set free left me confused. After this horrendous ordeal where you have youre entire life turned upside down, be in constant fear for your life in prison, i just couldnt believe he didnt show any emotion at all at the end of it all.
I wish we couldve got even a tiny insight into the night, a minute montage to show what really happened. Wouldve made the end feel more complete and answer a lot of our questions!
as for Hyun Soo's ending, im torn between two - either he jumped, or letting the cigarette go is symbolising the end of his prison life. Either way, that ending was hard to digest, after seeing him so lifeless it wouldnt surprise me if he did the first. Im not a fan of such an ambiguous ending unless we get a second season. I feel with this one we might, but not following Hyun Soo's story.
Overall though this was a great watch, the first 6 episodes were fantastic, it has probably one of the best pilot episodes ive ever seen. Everyone's acting was phenomenal, each and every character was so convincing, the police had me screaming in anger and the two leads stories had me in tears many times. wouldntve been the same without them all Ill miss waiting for this each week :)
great film but MY GOD HOW RIDICULOUS WERE THE POLICE that scene in the station had me screaming!!!! could they be much more useless!! i just couldnt believe how they ignored the lady and her mum when there was obviously something not right, and they did they not watch cctv of him and the brother fighting??? or anytjing??? aghhh but the cast were incredible, and it genuinely scared me!
1. He's 25 years old and still in college -- is this normal in South Korea? Yet according to https://www.ifez.go.kr/global/gb231…
yea your point is very true, to be fair when they said he was 25 i was a bit shocked! where i live college students are 17-18, and i think he couldve just passed as that age :)
what an episode!!! the whole polygraph sequence was low. i got the feeling the only reason the attorney showed Hyun Soo the body was to work him up - so he was already on edge/out of breath during the test. taking away his ventilator was just plain cruel, they totally tried to set him up.
Its very clear the new lawyer doesnt care at all about HS, its heartbreaking to see her intern putting in more effort than her, only to try and convince HS to confess. I was so happy to see him stand his ground, but i fear for him in the coming episodes.
Poor HS, its difficult to watch him go through so much in prison. The scenes where he cant stop crying are painful to see, Soo Hyun's acting is fantastic!!
as for Ji Tae, im very unsure about him. Why is he so interested in HS? I get the feeling he believes HS is innocent

from my perspective how he's acting is completely justified. Imagine going through everything hes experienced in the space of a couple of weeks - it must be terrifying. Going from happily living a normal life to being incarcerated, relentlessly bullied by the law and prisoners, and thrown into a system you would naturally have no knowledge of (and therefore act 'stupidly'). The scene where he tried to escape seemed plausible to me, i thought it was clear he was having a massive panic attack, his fight or flight was triggered, all he wanted was to return to his previous life. he was probably so high on adrenaline he couldnt control himself
Hopefully in next episodes he'll be able to adjust but for the moment with everything being so fresh i can totally see why hes making so many mistakes
really loving this so far! glad we finally got to see Hoin, man his character is giving me the creeps! This definitely isnt your typical school drama and im living for it, cant wait for next episode :)
episode 2 was great, excited for next weeks 2 eps but also really scared, MC is going to go through hell from what the trailers show. Once again KSH is showing why hes a top actor, his performance is phenomenal, got chills in the scenes when he was panicking and crying, Off to watch the uk version now, 7 days is too long to wait!!
did they really have to kill my man pil do off like that? Poor dude just wanted to find his sister's killer and…
ikr. i just finished and im devastated, how could they! His death was so abrupt i honestly didnt see it coming, i was so shocked i expected a final plot twist to see him alive... :(

i watch a lot of thriller type dramas but this show really scared me! that scene was genuinely terrifying, this cast is insanely good
