i totally believed when they said that is a story for 30 episodes ( just divided because of tvn) in that press conference. They explained it well and was soon proved because the second part was filmed rigth after. They have been writing this since 2019... Of course nothing is perfect but they are really trying here to be cohesive and innovative with this new story.

The first soul shift that appeared was in Songrim surrounded by all mages and discovered by sapsali, the dog. After this others appeared but not many mages were chasing them. They even know about it. Uk killed Gil Ju, Jin Mu's henchman and Yul and Sang Ho tried to kill the other old guy. Then in the barrier Mudeok finally killed him. And that's it. But the soul shifter project was discovery by Park Jin and then after the tragedy they send Uk to chase and kill then. How many stones towers did you see in the forest? 20? In three years? That's ok for me. I really don't get what you are complaining for. Truly. ( the Queen wants to change her body probably waiting for better person, that was said.
