i am little upset with the sudden 'silly' turns in some of the plot liness...without spoiling too much why is she lathering her face with thick sunscreen making SML doctor smile flirtly at her? what sense does it make in a nation known for its amazing beauty product and total commitment to sun block? i really found that insulting of my viewer's intelligence...am i reading too much in it??

Ok...i am officially obsessed!...and since i cannot stop comparing the other show breaker, Pursuit of Jade, I have to say that for cinematography, OST, lead's ability & chemistry TFJ is keeping up quite well in comparison...really glad to be living in such artistically generous times! eh eh eh

So...what could the title of the new web novel be? to make him smirk so sweetly....

although i am enjoying the general plot (strong, super able FL not taking shit from anyone) and the leads' chemistry is really refreshing (so much laughter...) this is becoming a little bit too much of a slow burn..plus as you said the 'plotting against outsiders' plot has been used so many time you wonder how many people are left to be dragged into the scheming by this obnoxious Aunt...i should have waited for the episodes to be all available so that i could fast forward to the good parts...hoping they will come...

I must have reached a new level of delulu or Chi Sa is a dark horse of an actor because I am COMPLETELY lapping up the jealousy angst...he is meant to be an older man, on his second marriage, falling for a young, spirited and mesmerizing woman...of course he is going to find it difficult to keep his head straight in the face of her 'youthful love' (which was not him), his adopted nephew betrayal (coveting his wife) and maybe, just maybe a little truth his controlling nature ..as his secretary said..matters of love are harder than political intrigues...I for one have found ep 34 immensely entertaining!!

and even more their lovely skinship after the wedding..so carefree and..modern in a way?...but can anyone help me understand the presence of 'dolls' in bed with them??? those round dolls vaguely reminescent of the theatre masks....

uuhhh i am loving the chemistry between the leads...

...i don't understand...did they sleep together at the beginning of ep 15?? why are they making the skinship so difficult to enjoy?? i really do not understand if it is for cultural or censorship reasons...

...thanks for the honest review...i came to this drama from LOVE STORY IN THE 70S where i think both leads are a lot more honest and straightforward than this mess of a modern take on Cinderella with the FL stressing so much over money that she pushes a good guy away and ...from what you say...a good guy turning into a scheming wreck not voicing his own worries and difficulties...i think i will drop this at ep 12 now...

well said and i agree with wanting to know more about the 'real' history and factual situations (like the earthquake relief efforts) behind the fictional story...and may i say well done China for this exemplary display of soft power???

it's a perfect show to binge and it has so much heart in it, some that will make you cry and more that will make you smile that i really do not understand why more people are not raving about it! i absolutely loved it and Cdramas are a new addition to my asian series passion...watch it!

ooohhh i also am in the same spot of trying to go over ep 2 or 3...i cannot even remember i keep on dropping it...but with POJ withdrawal simptoms still running wild i have to get to the bottom of this other well reviewed acting effort of our most beloved hero..and i must say the FL does not displease me either...so..yeah...good luck to us both on finishing it this time (p.s. i have found that creating a chart of the characters helps with the political plot elements...maybe it will help you too??)
