Very glad that Luhan has improved a lot since Fighter of Destiny. He has shed his idol image to seriously act and immersed himself into 2008's jobless youth while chasing his dream to be the best professional e-gamer.

Lu Wei/Leo has also demonstrated that he can be versatile and act more mature. I started to realise he can work his facial expression to look more handsome than cute.

No doubt the style of directing and flow of drama are much better than those typical idol drama like Go Go Squid and Gank Your Heart. The director belongs to a younger generation batch therefore the pace is faster and more exciting given the main theme is about gamers in 2 eras.

There's also a lot comedy ( indirect comedy - i laughed when Luhan's fast food sponsor appeared) . The production is also very good and higher budget as the backdrop, costume and electrical gadgets i.e. computers and handphones in 2008 look realistic and right in that era. The supporting actors are also experienced and act well.

Either too many choices of dramas in various languages came out this year due to more ppl staying home to watch dramas (COVID 19) or quality are just dropping. Too little time to catch up too many good or bad dramas even if you sleep 5 hours a day in the weekend..right...hahaha....

I feel guilty when dropping or putting on hold for an indefinite date of dramas acted by my bias and top actors/actresses including those rated 8.0 and above in MDL.

The costume, backdrop and production looks high budgeted and serious in details. Love it!!

You Are My Destiny is the latest remake of so many past versions e.g. Taiwanese, Korean, Thai and Chinese (see above Details section) so there are expectations and the storyline is predictable.

However this drama has a refreshing storyline and I must say that FL and ML chemistry will at par or better that You Are My Destiny. Watched up to ep. 12 now and every episode brings some surprises. ML does habe the Deng Lun vibe...haha

If you are a Liang Jie fan, go watch the newly released romcom Mr. Honesty...which i enjoy more ^^

Imo this is an overall better Liang Jie starred romantic drama than the recently ended You Are My Destiny.

The backstory and trailer appear interesting and high budget. So I will watch this for sure! ^^

It makes sense for the censorship board to relax more and allow those "put on hold" older dramas to air because the demand has finally catch up or even exceeded the supply of dramas. On the one hand, the supply i.e filming & post production have been delayed or stopped, on the other hand, the demand from dozens of tv stations and web portals/otp in China kept growing because almost everybody staying home will watch tv/dramas during lockdown and for social distancing reason.

There is another Li Qin starred drama, Tears in Heaven ( ML- Shawn Dou) which was filmed probably around the same time as The Wolf, is still put on hold with no release date.

This is one of the better works of Zhao Lu Si's romcom in recent years. Noticed previous dramas the MLs tries to dominate the drama but in this drama both ML and FL are equal in terms of screen time, costumes & make up and story telling.

So far I have seen the works of Wang YiBo ( Love Actually, Untamed, Gank Your Heart, Day Day Up and other variety shows), Jackson Yi (Street Dance of China 2 - reality show), Dylan Wang (Meteor Garden), Karry Wang ( variety shows) and Leo Wu (Nirvana of Fire, many variety and reality shows).

Jackson Yi just won Best Newcomer in 39th HK Film Awards in the movie "Better Days".

Recently announced that the 3 mentors in Street Dance of China Season 3 will be Wang YiBo, Lay Zhang and Jackson Wang. I am looking forward to this as this reality show is very very intense, creative and competitive in the last 2 Seasons.

Will pay attention to future works of Liu Hao Ran, Arthur Chen ( Legend of Awakening is in my to watch list) and Song Wei Long.

Not exactly a music fan of Hubert Wu but this 2.0 sequel opening theme song "Cross Roads" is playing in my head over and over ....... I have only watched episode 4 today and already added in my music playlist.

Storytelling and pacing are quite alright as every scene is not wasted so far.

Took me 4+ months to finish this drama. 2 reasons for this, firstly in between there were many other good and shorter C &K dramas airing between Jan -Apr 2020 and secondly, the middle part was dragging and the storytelling was not going everywhere. After 2 months i picked it up again and finished the drama.

Among the "3 Lives" of Fengjiu and DiJun, i like the last one or last subplot in Fanyin Valley the best and most meaningful. So for those who have stopped watching, please continue to watch though you have to endure some slow and dry parts in the middle because the ending is worth the time and satisfying ^^
