Thanks so much for the article. I really like the opening theme song of The Exorcist 2nd Meter- Cross roads (Sap Chi Lo Hao) by Hubert Wu. I played this song on YouTube every since the drama started airing a month ago and today this video breached 1m views!
You know what - everyone who reads this statement - do you have any idea how many dramas from 2017 are just premiered?…
It makes sense for the censorship board to relax more and allow those "put on hold" older dramas to air because the demand has finally catch up or even exceeded the supply of dramas. On the one hand, the supply i.e filming & post production have been delayed or stopped, on the other hand, the demand from dozens of tv stations and web portals/otp in China kept growing because almost everybody staying home will watch tv/dramas during lockdown and for social distancing reason.
There is another Li Qin starred drama, Tears in Heaven ( ML- Shawn Dou) which was filmed probably around the same time as The Wolf, is still put on hold with no release date.
This is one of the better works of Zhao Lu Si's romcom in recent years. Noticed previous dramas the MLs tries to dominate the drama but in this drama both ML and FL are equal in terms of screen time, costumes & make up and story telling.
So far I have seen the works of Wang YiBo ( Love Actually, Untamed, Gank Your Heart, Day Day Up and other variety shows), Jackson Yi (Street Dance of China 2 - reality show), Dylan Wang (Meteor Garden), Karry Wang ( variety shows) and Leo Wu (Nirvana of Fire, many variety and reality shows).
Jackson Yi just won Best Newcomer in 39th HK Film Awards in the movie "Better Days".
Recently announced that the 3 mentors in Street Dance of China Season 3 will be Wang YiBo, Lay Zhang and Jackson Wang. I am looking forward to this as this reality show is very very intense, creative and competitive in the last 2 Seasons.
Will pay attention to future works of Liu Hao Ran, Arthur Chen ( Legend of Awakening is in my to watch list) and Song Wei Long.
Not exactly a music fan of Hubert Wu but this 2.0 sequel opening theme song "Cross Roads" is playing in my head over and over ....... I have only watched episode 4 today and already added in my music playlist.
Storytelling and pacing are quite alright as every scene is not wasted so far.
Took me 4+ months to finish this drama. 2 reasons for this, firstly in between there were many other good and shorter C &K dramas airing between Jan -Apr 2020 and secondly, the middle part was dragging and the storytelling was not going everywhere. After 2 months i picked it up again and finished the drama.
Among the "3 Lives" of Fengjiu and DiJun, i like the last one or last subplot in Fanyin Valley the best and most meaningful. So for those who have stopped watching, please continue to watch though you have to endure some slow and dry parts in the middle because the ending is worth the time and satisfying ^^

Just below the synopsis, there is a "Related Content" which stated Prince Turns To Frog (Taiwanese Original Story). Click on it and it will bring you there.
I really enjoy this drama, plus the make lead is pretty hot
If you are watching this as a new drama then you will probably love the drama and the male lead just as they are.
For me, who has watched the original Taiwanese version, the male lead here is not comparable in terms of acting.
I am at ep 14, although Jin Ze plays Tong Hao, the kind and loving one very well but when it comes to Shan Jun Hao, he still lack the coldness in his eyes. But anyway as a rookie ML he is considered ok ok.
At episode 7. There's weak chemistry between the main leads. Something is lacking about the female lead's acting.…
Omg Fair Xing is the new generation of romcom Cdrama female leads along with Zhao Lu Si.
I am still in early episodes so cant comment in the later stage of the drama but Fair Xing as an actress is still better than casting a rookie actress. Of course she is not as good as Joe Chen in potraying a working class peasant girl in a small village town just like in the original Taiwanese drama.
This kind of seasonal bulletin with top picks of dramas should be on the main page all the time and not appearing…
@Mio, so sorry i forgot to compliment your amazing work above. Thats why i wrote to support your work to appear in the main page longer rather than like news feed.
Good job! Very good effort and quality! Thanks Thanks Thanks! ??????
This kind of seasonal bulletin with top picks of dramas should be on the main page all the time and not appearing like an article in news feed, which comes and goes.
Please separate the weekly updates of screening of new dramas in one section and top picks for the invidual writers in the other.
I watched Siege in Fog few years ago and Qin Sang was a very complicated character .
It was quite like she is not a girl anymore and neither a woman yet. She cannot handle relationships well. Other things that are not love and reaktionship related, she handles them very well and many times helped her husband to escape political plots and ambushes. She only grew more mature after she fell deep in love and got reciprocated love from her husband, Lan Po.
Love Destiny/Bhueppae Saniwat is the 2nd Thai drama i have completed watching after Prom Mai Dai Likit.
Although the back story is about a girl who went on time travelling, similar to those kdrama and cdrama plots, but most importantly it maintains its own rich Thai history, culture, traditional costumes and speeches (though i am not Thai) that are just captivates the audience to watch till the end and feeling satisfied.
The lead actor and actress played their characters well and convincing enough that they were so much in love already mid way or earlier ?
I read some news saying that this high rating drama caught so much attention that road traffic in Bangkok was lesser during the evenings when this drama was airing.
Kelly Cheung's acting in her guest role in episode 26 was so good that I cried with her!! More natural and in character than Rebecca Chu and Alice Chan!

Recently this drama has been dubbed in Cantonese.
