There were many mishaps since the beginning of the production few years back. Two ML were recasted and no one expected ZZH and Simon Gong can act so well together. Almost all main n supporting casts were changed except the pretty girl - Gu Xiang, who stuck around until the end. Even production crew were not the original team.

Old Wen is the King and Ah Xu is the Queen.

I try to reimagine Return of the Condor Heroes- Xiao Longnu (quiet, reclusive, older, wiser) and Yang Guo (younger, more talkative, protective and cunning with a dark family background).

Most if not all actors are from the same agency, Jaywalk Studio. Vengo Gao and Dilireba are too huge to play supporting roles now for Yang Mi's dramas.

The group was so real that they were comfortable to let audience see them with no makeup. I may not agree that that their fashion merchandises were all "in fashion" but some they wore them quite well. Not sure ordinary people can carry those streetwear clothes well like them.

I prefer 2nd season although 1st season had bigger stars such as Kris Fan, Angelababy and Wilber Pan.

Watched ep 1 to 3 in Utube this morning before WFH. I like it so far and the trailer dont really do justice to the drama. The BL flavour is so strong starting ep. 2 onwards so must give credit to the director.

I have never watched Zhang Zhehan drama without Ju Jinyi co-starring in it so it is quite refreshing and he acted so at ease with Simon Gong.

Oliver Chen Xing Xu as the SML?? Boy this drama must've been kept in the store room for atleast 3 years as he was already elevated to ML since Goodbye My Princess...lol...

Same like as Xiao Zhan.... I guess all those older made dramas he did will all soom be released.

7 common main and supporting actors excluding "cameos" spotted from Joy of Life!

It was reported the common actors and crew shot this drama as non related side project while waiting for Joy of life season 2's script and production's ready to shoot.

Finn Hann, the child actor played kid Fan Xian also played kid Tang San.

Hmmmmm...familiar dialogue and shooting style like Joy of Life ^^

Ohya! Same screenwriter and 8 common actors in both dramas including Sean Xiao Zhan.

This drama probably was shot like back to back between The Wolf, Joy of Life, and Untamed, judging by Xiao Zhang's appearance (looked mid 20s). So most likely he didnt rest.

Lately noticed many high production dramas shot 2019 and before just released like Doulou Continent, Rebel Princess, Wolf, etc

I stopped at ep.20 due work commitments and thanks to your input I will try to catch up to 40 by tonight! ^^

The ending provided some hope for Season 2. Although there were unnecessary and draggy parts btw eps. 30-34, however the ending in ep. 36 explained everything so the loopholes were somewhat covered. I'd say when you all reach ep. 30, just jump to ep. 35 because there were many flashbacks and watch the last episode 36 to finish the entire drama!

Yay!! i completed this drama although i will only score this at 8 points.

I like how this drama pays attention to details. In the end if ep.7 , the small jetty that Princess Shanyang waited for 3rd Prince to elope with was so beautiful in daylight.

This is what i mean by high quality production because just for a short few minutes of scenes the details in lanterns, steps, the clear river water at the small jetty was truly a captivating view.

Cant stop laughing by myself watching ep. 8 and 9. Especially the scene when FL/Ju Gyung jumping out from a midway halted lift to go to the toilet.

TQVM for writing and summing up all the thoughts and expectations of the silent majority. Audience should look at the BIGGER picture.

I have nothing against idol dramas, just that these type of audience may be less appreciative of overall good quality production and pinpointing at weaknesses that are actually bearable.
