The point is not whether she has any right to do that or not. I can dream of being a butterfly, but that doesn't make me any smarter. Giving up on your career in order to depend on other person (in this case the husband) who can dump you in 10, 20 years and leave you penniless on the streets is a very stupid decision and I would never ever advice my daughter to do that.

I gave it a try and gave up. I cannot stand the main female character or any woman in real life who thinks that marriage is the "ultimate goal" and that just by marrying you will obtain eternal happiness. And don't even let me start on Asuka's reasons for wanting to be a professional housewife, they're lame and stupid. I can't imagine a grown up and intelligent woman giving up her whole life and career only so she can be a housewife. Like seriously?
