I honestly feel that despite the cringe moments and the awful dumb heroine beginning, this show is a gem and the best show of the season actually. I even dropped Fuyao as it got too tiring for me, and Yunxi ended up a disappointment. This is the only show I follow these days .. ;_;
The main lead and female lead actors are to die for. I love them both so much!
I'm probably one of the few who just didn't get into this show. As much as I Iove the novel would be just as much as I'm disappointed with the drama.
So many things that made the characters unique and interesting is just not there. The plot seems to have changed 180 degrees. The episodes seem dull that I found myself skipping a lot of scenes many times. I was so hyped for this and the letdown was huge.
Thankfully there's still Fu Yao to watch and Sweet Dreams.
In this regard you can say an anti hero would be yan xun as well... I acually don't mind the ending of princess agents because it's not that it ends in tragedy, it just ends halfway in the novel and leaves an open ending with a hope of continuation
Funnily enough, it was Ten Miles of peach blossoms Journey of Flower and Princess Agents that were the novel based Chinese dramas that got me heavily obsessed, and not any of those mentioned.. ._.
Now I just can't wait for Heavy Sweetness Ash like Frost because I loved the novel so much, and also the pillow book, but I'm more scared that the pillow book won't be half as good as the novel was..
I laughed at every episode and honestly it's one of the better light hearted rom coms out there! Actually, I'm now probably going to be looking for more dramas from the guys perspective chasing the girl...This was enjoyable!
