Like I said in my review, the leads' storyline feels very repetitive and boring to me so Mek and Dech are a breath of fresh air and I look forward to their scenes in every episode.
I understand just fine, thanks. The age gap between them is still weird when an adult doing a full time job (that…
I most deinitely agree! It feels like Yo falls in love with Jom only because the show needed him to, there is no real build up there. I also agree that its out of character for Jom to be attracted to him as a partner since his vibe feels different. I wish there was a genuine connection before the show told us to believe in their "love" story.
Overall, I feel like the show did a poor job of showing depth to both their characters and that is why their relationship also falls flat.

Hey, thanks for engaging with my review respectfully. I know what a rare thing that is on MDL.
Let me start by saying I don't have issues with age gaps as a rule or anything. There are many other shows where the 2 main leads have a substantial age gap, and it still works for me. Usually because the two leads seem to match in terms of maturity, or have a connection that transcends their age gap. In MSJ, I dont see that at all. Like I said in my original post, to me, Yo feels like he falls in love with Jom out of nowhere. There is no build up of their emotional bond.
AND because he comes across a lot more childish and impulsive as compared to the calm and "adult" like Jom, their age gap doesnt work for me in this case. Again, I only refer to the age gap betwen the characters NOT the actors. So to cut a long story short, I don't have issues with age gaps in general, but in MSJ, it simply does not work for me.
Also, I mean this super sincerely, but its better to not get into whataboutism. My original post made no reference to misogyny and homophobia and the portayal of ukes since they dont apply to MSJ, but that in no way means that I dont think those are super important issues.
re. "And Yo is still completing high school??"You do understand that Yo was suspended from school and…
I understand just fine, thanks. The age gap between them is still weird when an adult doing a full time job (that he's been doing for a while) is dropping off his just-became-20 beau off to school.
Let’s get one thing straight (pun aggressively not intended):BL is not smut.Well… not unless it wants to be,…
You my friend, have just won *Comment of the Century* I literally felt compelled to make an account on MDL just to respond to your exquisite takedown of the "pearl clutchers" as you call them. 🤌🏻
I hope you don't mind me directing people to this comment whenever next I see someone on their soap box telling others to just watch porn if that's what they like in their BLs.
Sincerely, Someone else on the Internet who is absolutely LIVING for series like these. 🔥
