No, season 1 is a smaller story arc being complete and satisfying. However, the journey continues. It is NOT a cliffhanger, I am happy with the ending.

Very good review. I was looking for something reminiscent of oldies wuxia vibe (grew up watching oldies from 80s and 90s), and this was perfect. Looking for more recs like this, where the focus is more on martial arts and politics.
Also agree, negative reviews are people purely seeing it from romance pov. There is NO harem here. Female warriors are treated with respect and equality the same as male warriors. Just because there are women does not mean there is romance or harem. It is annoying when a lot of reviews are heavily romance and harem focussed, when this one is NOT in that genre.
