So now that it's finished, how is it, much romance, how's the chemistry, happy ending, any love triangles?
There is only slight romance bcs the main focus is the brotherhood of the three men. The romance is just enough to add spices. The main couple is less interesting than the second leads love story. The three second leads are involved in a love triangle, or should I say there is a third wheel between couple. This one has its ups and downs. For the ending, it is satisfying and fit this drama.
Overall I like this drama. I gave 8.5 for my love to DFJ and LC, also for BC and LYN's acting, OST, directing and cinematography. ZSX is a good actor, his character as WXS is good, it's just his story is weak. People shifted their focus on the second leads which means the writer didn't create enough plot for him. WR is the weakest character in this drama especially for the so-claimed wuxia. However I don't hate WR bcs I see YCY in her. WR is YCY herself 😂 but even until the end I don't see the purpose for LM's existence. She is way more meaningless than WR.
The love story of romeo and juliet. The difference between SMZ and LC: SMZ values and prioritizes his brothers more than his love to LC. While LC loves like a little girl, filled with dreams and hopes to be united with SMZ even though there is no future with him from the start. In the end, he asked her to forget him and followed his deceased brothers. While LC chose to follow him to the underworld bcs that's how much she loves him.
It is implied she committed suicide by drowning herself to the ocean. She is wearing red means she wants to get married with SMZ in the underworld. SMZ broke his promises to LC and asked her to forget him and start a new life.
So how is it? How is the ending? Is everyone satisfied with how things ended? It's not over us for non members…
Do you really want a spoiler? BCF committed suicide, SMZ ordered YWX to kill him. LC committed suicide to follow SMZ (later on). WXS killed the chancellor and leaves the capital with WR, YWX, ZXY and minister Liu's men. It's a happy ending for the 7 of them. The House has a new master recommended by WXS.

SMZ drank revival pill willingly to make him stay alive, but he can't control his body freely. He decided to die after the battle is finished bcs he doesn't want to continue living like a puppet.

I believe it's possible if he admits his mistakes and go to jail. Or he can disappear to somewhere. He needs to make amends of his mistakes. Bcs if he dies, all his wrongdoings also gone with him, too easy. But let's just say, the souls he killed are waiting for him in hell 😅

Nooo 🤣🤣🤣 I mean tries to get him back to his good self, make him apologize and repent his wrongdoings. With WXS, SMZ and WR on the spot, they might succeed 🤔
Most likely, SMZ will appear on the last battle. Snaps the head off BCF, he apologizes, then the three of them reconcile. SMZ dies in their arms. BCF goes to prison or leaves the capital. Another possibility is BCF still refuses to apologize and gets killed by WXS. I prefer a peaceful ending than a tragic one though, it doesn't have to be a HE.

WXS killed minister Fu and ran away. To save SMZ, BCF volunteered himself to get punished. In prison, he is being drugged with hallucination pills every 2 hours and they told him WXS is dead. Losing hope and sanity, he agreed to be the chancellor's man and betrayed SMZ. Then he got married to LC and tried to kill SMZ, but failed.
I don't know what is missing but there is something missing in the dramatic brotherhood between the three brothers…
Sorry I don't read the novel 😥 but the writer changed a lot of things in the drama. For example, BCF doesn't get manipulated, LC is really evil bcs she poisons SMZ, the rapist is unknown but BCF gets accused. Li Muge did great by directing the actors and capturing the scenery, but the writer couldn't write a better story and created a mess.

Based on the novel, the secret passage SMZ used leads to Six Half Hall. LC saves him. That's why there's a scene where LC is waiting and there's a sound of stone door opening. however In the novel, LC poisons SMZ to use him, but he commits suicide later.
