Nope. They are different. Kuudere choose NOT to talk. You can see how Ye Hua, Jiu Chen, Honghong, and Shen Li are. They barely talked at first, then became gentle, soft and sweet.

Tsundere is rude with their words to hide their feelings. Examples of how tsundere talk:
1. I didn't come here to see you = I did come to see you.
2. Who said I need your help? = help me please!
3. You better eat this food (made by ME) or you die! = I want you to eat it and say it is delicious.
4. Idiot! = I love you!

Don't think about the ratings too much until you watch it yourself. Drama is a matter of taste.

Tsundere and kuudere are different. People who are not fans of anime and manga would think "a person who is cold on the outside, but warm on the inside" is tsundere, where in fact IT IS NOT. That term explains kuudere.

Tsundere consists of two words: tsun tsun and dere dere. They are tsun tsun at first means harsh, temperamental, hotheaded, hostile to people especially to the ones they like (in some cases they are nice to their friends). Their words are the opposite of what they mean. However once they fall in love they will go to the dere dere part: the soft, caring and gentle side of tsundere, although they still refuse to admit their feelings.

Yan Rushan (Mao Zijun) is Rongrong's disciple known as the thousand faces spirit. He is paired with Chen Yao's character. On the calendar it is stated the Thousand Faces chapter will start on ep 21-22.

Based on the emoticon on the calendar, Bu Tai might revive in tonight's eps (17-18). Eps 21-22 will be the start of Mao Zijun and Chen Yao's part. After their part ends, then we will get Zhang Linghe and Chen Duling's part since they are the last couple.

I read a lot of comments saying they feel disappointed about Honghong's character: cold and flat. Honghong is a kuudere. Kuudere consists of two words: cool and dere dere. Means someone who is cold on the outside, but warm on the inside. Yes, NOT tsundere, but kuudere. A kuudere doesn't talk much, only when needed. They look emotionless, cold, but caring to that one person. Once the ice melts, he will be the softest cutie. Shen Li and Honghong are examples of kuudere FL.

I find it strange that when the ML is kuudere, fans drool over him, but when the FL is kuudere, they don't like it. I like having a kuudere FL rather than having the typical FL who is noisy, dumb, immature.

Mu Wuxia (Bian Cheng) isn't interested in love and women bcos he is only 16, 2 years younger than Taohua. The only woman he truly cares about is Taohua whom he regards as his jiejie. He always listens to her bcos she understands him the most. He trusts her more than he trusts Shen Zaiye.

Like I said, there's no other cp in the novel. It only has main cp. But the drama might be different. Tbh I don't want secondary cp.

Btw, that Gong Zi XX are actually meant for XX Wang dian xia (Your Highness Prince XX). In the novel it is written as Nan Wang dian xia (Prince Nan), Jing Wang dian xia (Prince Jing), etc. idk why they changed it to Gong Zi XX.

Xiang Qingying doesn't exist in the novel, but there is a woman named Gu Qingying and she is Shen Zaiye's wife. Meng Zhenzhen is also Shen Zaiye's wife. Besides the main cp (and 3 royal married couples), there is only one side cp which is Shen Zaiye's best friend with one of Shen Zaiye's wife (their story is in the epilogue). Idk if both will appear in the drama.

I've read the novel for this drama. Shen Zaiye is cruel, manipulative, cold, genius strategist and never shows emotions. He can kill without blinking. He has never been in love bcos for him women are nothing. He has grand missions and he will never abandon his missions for a woman.

However he fell at first sight to FL and treats her different from how he treats other women. He shows emotions and becomes more humane. Shen Zaiye is actually a tsundere when it comes to FL. He loves her, but refuses to admit it, says the opposite of his heart. He wants her to love him and show jealousy if he is with another woman. But he is the one who always gets jealous instead. He is possessive and will throw the house upside down bcos of her.

Shen Zaiye and Jiang Taohua are like frenemies who have their own missions, but willing to cooperate as long as they don't clash.

That's about it. Sorry for the long explanation.
