Despite the low rating, i decided to give this a chance because of how long I've been expecting this and because most of the negative comments were just about the "westernization" of the drama, and I'm glad I did. At first glance it seems like your typical ultra-rich vs working class school bullying drama, but it's more than that. The thing I really liked was that there was actual remorse and repentance and desire for self-improvement which your hardly find in dramas of this same genre. It's a good binge overall.
If you're expecting any bad ass revenge in this, you're going to be thoroughly disappointed. Joe is a fool in love, not even death and rebirth can change it. Even without his dire financial situation, he would've still found a way to sashay his ass back to Ming.
IMO Ming is a worse red flag than Vegas. Vegas was a violent gangster, hence it was not surprising when he did some of the crazy things he did. But Ming is a guy from an extremely wealthy and relatively caring family, him doing what he did is psychopathic. I truly don't want them to end up together, but 😪 I just know they will. I just hope they'll make him suffer a lot, but 😪😪😪, I suspect they won't. Joe's way too soft to let Ming suffer, him decisively kicking out Ming was already a huge surprise.
Ikrrr. I don't understand how people just refuse to watch morally gray characters and are set on perfect scripts…
Morally grey character is locking up someone in a basement on the day of a life-changing event just because you're jealous. Let's be good real in this comment section. Not only is that evil but it's criminal. I don't give an F whether he was cooking and waiting for Joe for 2 years (which is highly also a highly delusional and crazy behaviour, cause the dude is dead, and he was indirectly the cause of it), he never even said sorry for what he did.
While the ending for the second couple was left open, it was indeed very realistic. The main development was that Balgeum was now ready to let go of his shame and try to improve himself while repairing his relationship with Inho. The first couple had me blushing so hard in the last two episodes. Jinwoo's smile is highly contagious
I like Sol, but does he realise he's a Kpop idol who just debuted, Joe would have it much worse if he was with him. Tong is such an vsshole, i don't get what the two siblings see in him, he's also probably treating them as his personal money bags and he has the effrontery to accuse Joe of that. I just want to punch that his stupid smug face. Ming's actual first crush is Joe but he's too daft to realise it. He's such a hot and cold lover, one minute he's super cute and then the next he is so harsh to Joe. Pick a lane and stay there so i can find it easier hating or liking you.
If there's a season 2, it's going to be even more chaotic and interesting.
