Thyme's mother was so well cast! I honestly think it's the only adaptation where she truly felt scary and I believed…
Yes Thyme's mother was some excellent casting! Completely agree! She was so believably terrifying and BRUTAL. I liked her arc/ script.

I see what you mean about the later episodes. While I think it was a direct aftermath of Gorya breaking his trust and you could see he wasn't enjoying himself, it would've been nice to see him continue to fight for the vision he mentioned without the push from his friends. That would have been more satisfying.

Thank you, this is the best show (in terms of how much I enjoyed watching) I've seen in a while. Love your pp btw!

Now I'm crying. It would also be toxic if Gorya fell for Thyme right from the start despite his bullying/ anger issues. But she doesn't. She falls for him when she sees his good, caring side. And she falls harder when he apologies to his victims and truly repents. I love how Gorya's sense of right/ wrong is never swayed. There's no toxicity about how her relationship with Thyme develops, at least in my opinion

No way! They're still replicating this toxicity?!!!! Why is it a masterpiece of the ages?!!!!
It would be toxic if there was 0 character development, but this show has tonnes of it. No character ends as the same person they started. This show is about how someone in even the darkest of places is capable of redeption and therefore deserving of love, and that's an important message share.

Btw, have you seen this version? I I haven't found it to be toxic (which is something I'd never condone or even continue watching). I think they've handled the story line really well in that sense
On F4 Thailand: Boys over Flowers Apr 3, 2022
As someone who waited until 14 episodes were out before I started watching this, I can honestly say that this version seems so utterly perfect to me. The cast, the plot, the script, the pacing, everything feels so right. This version is gorgeous. I love how they've handled everything, especially Thyme's character development and Gorya's love for him. There's been no moments were I've wanted to tear my hair out and scream SHOW HIM YOU CARE in this version. The actress is phenomenal. One of my favourite moments is when Thyme sees that Gorya's been captured by the anti-F4 group. The look of sheer horror on his face. Wow.
If anyone is thinking of watching this but comments have put them off, WATCH IT. IT'S SO GOOD. It's always harder when you have to wait a full week for an episode, especially when they can only release one a week. But this show is 1000% worth the watch. All the bits I didn't like in other versions have been fixed in this.

Also I've seen hate for ep.15 but I LOVED it. Ren's moment with Gorya is beautiful, but so is the way Thyme comes up with his new business plan and finally fights for himself. And the F4 friendship moment <3 I'm in love.

I don't care anymore, I'm on team Ren 100%, he deserves it all, he's ready to left it all for Gorya, I mean??…
I think that Ren is one of those super selfless characters who loves Gorya but his number 1 wish is for her and Thyme to be happy together because he loves Thyme too, and that's why he said what he did and also why the video call was set up because he knew who she really loved. Ren is amazing in this version. The actor is perfect with his smiles and his pencil holding lol. I see them being super close friends and him finding peace elsewhere. Definitely agree with the mum thing!!
Replying to cillachandler Apr 2, 2022
And as usually Ren is the better choice but nope we end up with self-absorbed, narcissistic Thyme.
Thyme is human and grew up super rich with a narcissistic mother who's literally tried to mould him into herself, so of course he is going to be self-absorbed at times. But this whole show is about his redemption. You can see how much he cares. Ep 15 showed how much empathy he has towards people who's livelihoods are at stake. He chose a different way. He has flaws, sure, but he's trying so hard to improve them. Like when he seeked forgiveness from all those people he gave a red card to. He's seeing the person he wants to be and is improving, and someone like that deserves love too. All humans are capable of change. Besides, it's not about choice. It's about who you love.

Sorry, I just needed to get my two-pence in there lol. Ren is great too.

This season is just JoJo playing with the feelings of two friends. Thats it.
There's no denying that JoJo loved SunOh in s1, but for some reason she decided to take that love away from him and give it to HyeYoung instead? Like.. for what reason?
It's not that HyeYoung didn't deserve it, either. It's how twisted it is that JoJo could play around with hearts like that.
Yeah, SunHo, I did love you, and I'll never love anyone like you, and I know you love me too and you're hurting, but I'm with your best friend HyeYound now and I'm going to try love his instead. Wtf Love Alarm

Title Love Alarm Season 2 Spoiler
I feel like the whole season 2 is just full of filler scene, like they won't bother to explain everything with…
I do agree I think Hyeyoung is a well deserved endgame - he is a gem after all. But its the way they handled it and used SunOh like they did. Its like his character was created just to get hurt and that's not okay!
Also agree with the filler scene bit it was like listening to a soundtrack at times

Did anyone else just feel.... sad when they watched the last episode? Usually kdramas make me feel good and fuzzy (it's why I watch them) but I actually felt like crying during this season and not in a good way. It was like I was watching a breakup the entire 6 episodes

:( I'm just sad.
I'm just sad and disappointed.
The music, acting and cinematography was gorgeous, though.
Just a shame about the script.

SeoJun taking the #1 spot on my list of favourite main leads. He's too precious, show wouldn't have been the same without him.
Plus side, at least we have real life Hwang In Yeop to look forward to in future dramas. Definitely keeping an eye out for him

I see your point. I thought so too until this episode. I don't know, I think after he confessed he did feel hopeful that she'd moved on from SuHo and that she'd see him as more than a friend. I think how the writer's brought SuHo back the same week he confessed was shady, and he's bound to feel hurt. They gave him hope just to squash it straight away, and you could see it in his eyes (great acting by Hwang In Yeop btw!).
The writers did give him time for closure but they haven't actually given him any closure yet. I hope we get to see it this ep, and get to see that he's moved on! At end of day, he has great friends and family, great humour, and incred talent. He will be fine. I just want to see it XD

AT LEAST we got to see:
1. SeoJun throw a shoe into a tree
2. JooGyung sit in a toy car thinking it was a taxi
3. Quite frankly great acting by Cha Eun Woo
4. More of SeoJun
5. A hilarious relationship dynamic between sister and teacher

My issue is that I don't think they should have dragged the love triangle on. I really think that was a mistake. It was barely even a love triangle episode 14 then suddenly they force it on us. Writers should have realised both teams had accepted the SuHo JooGyung endgame. People love Seojun's character for him, but that didn't mean we wanted to seen him with JooGyung, so hurting him like this wasn't fair or necessary. The show has been sooo much better than that! I hope ep 16 redeems itself. It will be a shame otherwise, because this show has really been a great one.
