this drama was soo good 😭can someone suggest me drama like this
I agree with the suggestions—both are my favorites! They’re funny, feature outstanding ensemble casts, and have well-written scripts with a rooting-for-underdogs theme.

Undercover High School shares the undercover operation theme and includes a touch of romance, but it’s more of a slow-burn, subtle kind.

Good Manager dives into white-collar and corporate crime, with a mix of office politics and chaebol family feuds.

Her acting totaly improved since The Judge from hell. I was never a fan of her before but I started this because…
Absolutely agree! That role truly marked a breakthrough in breaking away from the typecasting she often faced. It’s been incredible to see her showcase such range and depth, and she truly shines in this drama.

exactly and it helps a lot that is good old 16 episodes !!!
Right?! The classic 16-episode format really hits the sweet spot—enough time to develop the story without dragging it out. Love it!

This drama surprised me in the best way possible. It’s intelligently written and brilliantly acted by an exceptional cast, reminding me so much of the classic drama Good Manager. Park Shin Hye was on my skip list but has quickly become one of my favorite actresses since The Judge from Hell. She is amazing here!

I hate when they waste screentime on a stupid love triangle. These SML characters are beyond annoying and don't…
Totally get where you're coming from! The love triangle felt so unnecessary, especially given the FL's situation. Skipping the SML scenes sounds like a solid plan!

I've barely watched anything for the past 2 years, but what is with all the low ratings nowadays? Did everyone…
Right? It feels like everyone’s a harsh critic these days! Especially with hyped dramas—one tiny plot twist and it’s a flood of 1-star reviews. Can we just enjoy the ride a little?

I totally agree with you! Lee Junho’s acting is on another level—he delivered the masterclass performance…
Absolutely agree! Junho is under so much pressure to meet the sky-high expectations from the industry, fans, and the public. The higher you climb, the tougher it gets. I think he chose Typhoon Family because it’s such a unique genre—a story with real depth and complex human relationships. It’s not the kind of romcom that usually gets all the hype and attention, especially in overseas markets. This one feels more tailored to a niche, local audience. And honestly, for any drama to succeed, there are so many moving parts—an actor alone can only carry so much. Taking on a project like this is always a risk, but I think it’s a bold and admirable choice.

For those who are wondering about the achievements & popularity of the Typhoon Family .It is above average…
I totally agree with you! Lee Junho’s acting is on another level—he delivered the masterclass performance we’ve come to expect from him in Typhoon Family. The entire cast, art production, and OST were all top-notch too. It’s just the script that felt a bit off in the middle, which caused the momentum to dip. The last few episodes were fantastic, but by then, it might have already lost some viewers. Still, I’m glad it hit around 10% in the final episodes, and Junho got the praise he truly deserves!

Hiya. Just checking in with the few people who actually waited until the end of a series before reviewing it.…
@ibisfeather Thanks so much! It really means a lot that you noticed. I love connecting with people who appreciate thoughtful reviews—it’s great to share authentic perspectives!

Totally get where you’re coming from! I think people nowadays just don’t have the patience for slower arcs. I do agree it helped with Go Majin’s character development, but I can’t blame others for disliking it—it does feel like things are getting a bit flat. We definitely need more business action, especially since that’s the core theme of the drama. And yes, some small ‘win’ cases here and there would really help keep the audience hooked!

Ah, that might be it! Thanks for the heads-up. Can’t believe there’s still no news on its release—guess we’re all in the same boat waiting!

Can anyone help me figure out a song from Typhoon Family? It played in the early episodes and again tonight during the train scene (36:43) to the food stand (38:30). Thanks!

I'm amazed with low rating for this drama.. OK, only 2 episodes but still!
The theme’s a bit serious—it’s about Korea’s 1997 economic crisis, so younger or international audiences might not relate or enjoy it as much. Plus, let’s not forget the ones who rate low just to hate!

I can see where you’re coming from about the long episodes and the cooking competition—it definitely could have been framed more humorously. And this would have matched the tone of the earlier episodes too.

I agree with many of your points, particularly the difficulty the drama had in mixing genres and in giving us…
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I agree—the tonal shifts and the lack of depth in some parts of the storyline were frustrating. I also felt the Ming envoy cooking competitions dragged on, and the over-explained translations didn’t help. They could have spent more time on the romance or given us a clearer explanation of the time travel and how the king survives in the modern world. After 12 episodes, we deserved more closure!
