When the guy said “I guess you’re too big to fit under the bed,” it got me thinking about the implications of this sentence. My first thought was “How did he know?” Does this mean he’s been inside the pig shed when the young Ashin was sleeping? Seeing how anyone can just easily come and go in that shed, it’s not far-fetched to assume she might have faced unwelcome sexual advances ever since she was a child.
Just thinking about it really makes me sick to my stomach.
This is what I’m wondering about as well. The men all look really similar so I can’t be sure. But I think there’s a high possibility that she was raped by multiple men during her stay at the camp (even if it wasn’t shown in the movie).
*Edits: I went back and rewatched the scenes again. I’m quite certain the two men that watched her move the cart raped her. And out of these two, the man that was caught coming out of the pig by high ranking soldiers is the same man she fed to the zombies at the end.
