What are the other 2 shows where the second lead gets the girl? :D Dramas like that are good for the heart every now and then since I kind of root for the second lead a lot anyway, haha!
aissssssh, i just found out that there's only one ep this week. Lunar new year in korea. Isn't a regular New year…
Actually, they do not become older again on their birthday. :) Otherwise, they would be twice as old as the rest of us instead of a year or two older! ;) Rather than beginning at age 0 like we do in the West, they consider a child to be 1 when he or she is born. Then at the beginning of each new year, everyone ages once more. (For example, I was born in June at age 1, and the next January-- when I'm only 6 months old!-- I became 2!) They celebrate birthdays but don't actually age themselves at that time except perhaps acknowledging their international age. /endteaching Carry on~! ^^
And by the way, in the subtitles I had, Hiroto called Chiyoko his "sister-in-law". Does that mean they're step-siblings?... What with the pulling down her dress to kiss her back, does that mean there's some kind of "Cruel Intentions" type of shenanigans going on? D:
This article is so much win I can't even... One thing though. Everyone always assumes The Wrist Grab is a possession…
Right, I thought so at first too, haha! Although that never deterred my stomach from flip-flopping all over the place when it happens! :D But anyway, ever since I learned it, I just like to spread this nugget of knowledge. :) Apparently the palm is an intimate body part to touch, lol. Even like putting your arm around someone (especially the opposite sex) for a picture, your palm better not be laid flat and should be instead closed or else it's considered quite rude. It's kind of weird to us Westerners, but I've grown to appreciate the manners of their culture. :D <3
This article is so much win I can't even... One thing though. Everyone always assumes The Wrist Grab is a possession thing (and in some cases, it is), but I often read that in Korea, this is considered "manner hands" because it lessens skin contact and/or is less intimate... So rather than going all OH MY GOODNESS HE DOESN'T CONSIDER HER AN EQUAL, I actually like this one, heh. >.>
The hug/grab mentioned in the comments is my friend's favorite K-drama ruff luv to complain about, haha! While we were watching You're Beautiful: "It's so awkward!" "But it's Korea..."
It does look like it will be very, very similar, but if for no other reason, I look forward to it for that foot-on-foot dancing scene from the end of the preview! :D How cute!
I'm pretty happy with this since "Faith" and "Innocent Man/Nice Guy" were my huge loves of last year! :D SO GOOD. I haven't watched "Queen In Hyun's Man" or "King2Hearts" yet (though I want to!) but have heard both are great. And I watched Best Kiss on YouTube! *Wiggles eyebrows* As for "Rooftop Prince"... I dropped it at episode 5ish because I found out the end and hated it. Glad I didn't waste my time.
Love it! While I have never been a history buff by any means, I find certain parts of it interesting. However, I've never been so fascinated by history as I have been since the beginning of "Faith"! I've been wanting to study the Japanese occupation too. Anyway, all are fantastic points; I have learned a surprising amount from dramas!
