What the fuck did I just watch?????

In film-making, it's a BIG 'oh no no' to have the adaptation not stand entirely alone without any prior knowledge of the source material. Not having a clear explanation (to the point I asked 'wtf is he a ghost? Immortal? what does he mean he never left?' on twitter) in the script is poor writing and direction. As I told somebody else, if I had written that ending when I was in university, my professor would have made me rewrite it until he was satisfied with the story-telling before he ever let me even pick up a camera to film.

I had the ending explained to me on twitter because I was also confused. In the novel, Yai is Khun Lek's grandson and during his life his past life's memories came back to him so that he knew Jom would be at the house in current day.

That's REALLY not at all clear in the series at all. My actual question was, "Is he a ghost? Immortal? What does he mean never left?" and okay cool explanation, but it is a MAJOR no-no in filmmaking to have an adaptation need prior knowledge of the source material to understand it. My rating went down to a 9.5 from 10 because of that majorly poor choice of script-writing. If I had written that ending when I studied film in university, my professor would have made me re-write it until it was clear before allowing me to start filming.

Oh yeah that wasn't cool, but he never did anything that made me feel viscerally uncomfortable. With that I was more like "Ah Sand, what are you doing, man?"

All I can say is I'm glad this series is over. I couldn't DNF it because the actors were all some of my faves and their performances were so good, but I did not enjoy this series. Great cast, AMAZING soundtrack, and probably the most 'icky' feeling series I've watched without quitting in a loooong time. The only character I genuinely like is Sand. Everybody else at some point or another just felt ''icky. I can't think of a better word. Like, evil/toxic/etc characters can still be fascinating or likable sometimes. But these all just felt 'icky'. Visceral 'this is uncomfortable and DNW' feelings all throughout this series.

Worth watching for the cast, I don't regret watching, but I def won't ever rewatch it.

Top's just icky all around. From the start he's felt icky. He seemed to be trying to bag a virgin the whole time he was being 'good' to Mew, then he couldn't keep his dick in his pants, then he was 'so guilty' and acting like a kicked puppy as if HE wasn't the one who did something unforgiveable, and now he's acting scorned again just because Mew is a pushover (and pretty twisted himself lbr) and can't stay away. The ENTIRE TIME Top has never once seemed even SLIGHTLY genuine at all.

Ray's fucked up and needs help. Top is selfish and slimy.

Nah, Top has always been icky to me, even before he slept with Boston. Boston can also kick rocks. I do have some sympathy for him cause he's a stupid ass, but he's still a shady bitch.... I love Ray though. Ray is a broken, self-destructive, circling the drain of addiction, deeply fucked up human being. I just want to hug him until he believes he is loved. What sets him apart from the others is that he hurts people to make them hate him and when it works he freaks out. The other two are just selfish assholes.

Ray is one of the only ones I don't fully blame for being a steaming pile of shit cause, yeah, he's desperately fucked up, like INSANELY fucked up. Do I forgive him for how he treated Sand? Not at all. BUT do I UNDERSTAND him when most of the rest can all eat shit and die? Yeah, he is self-destructive AF so it's hard to not feel sorry for him. And Sand isn't a pushover really. And he's very self-aware that "You treated me like shit but I'm too fucking gone for you to not give you chances, even if there is a limit to what I can take."

Every week I watch this show and ask myself why I'm watching this flaming dumpster fire of toxic, annoying drama.... then there's a scene like Ray imagining Sand and I'm like, "Oh that's why, cause most of these actors are some of my favorites and are in-fucking-credibly skilled actors."

I both hate this series and can't NOT watch it because for all the bad, when it's good it's phenomenal.

I'll probably just check that one out later. I just finished the YT version. But honestly if it's just NC stuff, totally can just find it on dailymotion or whatever later lol.

One thing I can say, that anxiety/panic attack was written by someone with experience of them. It's 100% just like that. Your brain starts racing and you get overwhelmed and your mind is running through images and scenes and the only way to express the feeling is by shaking and crying and possibly screaming because your brain LITERALLY CANNOT process so much at one time.

I was just curious. It seems like the runtime is 3 minutes longer which isn't that much. I'm not bothered buying a subscription just for 3 minutes, you know? lol. It's not like I Feel You Linger In The Air where the cut vs uncut version is like 15+ minutes different.

I liked A Boss and a Babe. My favorite 'lighthearted and sweet' of this year is still My School President. FINALLY they had teenagers actually act like teenagers in a high school drama lol. Teens SHOULD be over the top dramatic and cringe, god knows we were when we were teens. The scene where he's flopping around on his bed because he embarrassed himself in front of his crush dramatically whining and crying then falls off the bed and goes "EVEN MY BED HATES ME!!!" is probably the most accurate depiction of being a teenager with a crush ever lmao.

What's the difference between the YT version and the uncut version?

I mean, kissing someone in their sleep without consent when you're in the process of breaking up isn't exactly something he would expect to be coming. Would YOU not have a knee-jerk reaction to waking up with lips on yours when you aren't expecting it??? I sure would, but I'm not trained in martial arts so I'd probably just flail and fall out the bed lol.

Really? It's one of my comfort series. It's light and cute so I've watched it half a dozen times. Nothing too dramatic, just fluffy idiots in love miscommunication. Great for when you need a break from heavier things.

Bruh that whole episode could have been like 15 minutes. WHY did I just watch AT LEAST 20 minutes of just artistic crying? Then another like 5-10 minutes on flashbacks. I hate episodes that are filler, but that wasn't even filler, THAT WAS LITERALLY JUST FLASHBACKS AND CRYING FOR THE BULK OF THE EPISODE.

Bro you joke, but I actually knew a couple that had NEVER farted in front of each other.... after 7 years of marriage. The husband had never farted in front of his wife and the wife only had when she was 9 months pregnant with their first child. And that was the ONLY time even after a second kid was born. Some couples REALLY ARE that fucking WEIRD about bodily functions lol!

So many people who didn't like the first episode, so I guess I'm in the minority because I enjoyed it! Also not sure why people are confused about the timeline because it literally labels it on screen? But whatever, to each their own. I'm enjoying it!
