This is manga adaptation, NOT japanese drama adaptation. The cast, the author manga and the director said it many…
Don't get me wrong, I did watch the pilot trailer. But my 'chemistry' thing is about all previous things I've seen them in. KTS and DBK were so lackluster that I rewatch DBK skipping their scenes just because I looooved the side pair. They've NEVER had chemistry in my opinion. Again, MY OPINION. I'm not saying "They have no chemistry". Everybody judges that differently. And I know how adaptations work, I am actually a film maker. I just know how people WILL compare them. No, you shouldn't. But it is a natural response. I will try not to, but you can't entirely shut out what you have seen before already in another adaptation.
I'm not WISHING for it to be bad. I just feel that it will be.
I'm one of the minority, but I'm only gonna watch this to see how bad it is. I'm happy for their fans, but I've never liked anything TayNew have been in together, so there is no way they will convince me of the characters they play. I may be proven wrong, but after how INCREDIBLY GOOD the Japanese series adaptation was, and with a couple I personally don't think have enough chemistry, I already anticipate it being bad. Especially when people who have seen the Japanese version have that as their thermometer of expectation.
Don't hate me; these are just my personal opinions.
I haven't finished this but it has a romanticized rape scene so I'm gonna bail. Not between the mains but I'm in EP 6 and fooling someone into sex who consented to someone else is rape full stop. I honestly checked it wasn't a Mame series first cause 'oh rape is romantic' fuck that. It's rape. Fuck that.
I would rather they have come together passionately (think car scene) and the conflict been about them maneuvering…
I would have prefered a big dramatic scene with his parents since they never did get back to his father trashing his resignation or his mom just popping in for a split second and that's that. All it would have taken was some event where he brought Pat as his date and Jeng's father did a speech about his son, the future CEO, and him standing up to him and telling his parents and the world that he didn't WANT to be CEO, he wanted to live his dreams and that the man he loved made him able to see that no obstacle was too big to do that since they overcame their age gap and other issues blah blah blah.
Just SOMETHING that is fucking culminating and ties up the loose ends, you know?
^Me just now when I finished the final EP. Bruh, that was the most anti-climactic non-ending holy crap. Basically nothing was actually resolved except they got back together.
Oh well it was worth the watch so I'm glad I watched this series, especially because Man is a new fave of mine, but talk about a shitty ending.
What is the word for 'friend' that Ye Chan uses for Yul? I don't recognize it. Trans says it's like 'friend' or 'bro' but it doesn't sound like 'chingu' or 'hyeong'.
I have never seen such mixed reactions to a series before.
I can 't imagine having strong negative feelings for it. Sure, I can get not liking it. I do like it, but everybody's tastes are different. But so many people seem to HATE it when it's really a very basic, nothing special, kinda series. I couldn't imagine something this bland having LOVE or HATE but I'm seeing it, lmao!
What I did not need:1. Pat and Jen talking smack about Jeng and Jaab. Including Pat acting like Jeng had somehow…
1- YES! That was so wtf??? I never got the feeling Pat and Jen/Jane were close enough to talk about personal stuff like that. It was so out of place. 2- We have never seen them take that kind of transportation, but they magically opted for that to conveniently break down on the road and have Ae go into labor (and apparently know absolutely nothing about her own pregnancy, like when you get that far along, how are you still confused about the water breaking and not know how many weeks along you are???) and have a precipitous labor where conveniently there is a medical student on board. And it did absolutely NOTHING for the plot to take up that much screen time when her pregnancy only seems to have lasted like 2 episodes???
I am loving this series, but it's def not perfect lmao.
The timeline was definitely confusing in this episode... I'm not sure why they didn't give us a caption to let…
Right? It doesn't do a good job of showing the time passage at all. I would have never thought it had been a month since Pat and Jeng's argument so I was caught off-guard when Kahnun said that Jane resigned and moved away a month ago while the baby was being born.
The crying scene with the parents… mmmmmI think that I could have survived with out it.dear lord the drama,…
I really did not get that. It seemed so out of nowhere. Like, why is your parents being divorced and you living on your own all of a sudden THAT big of an emotional blow? I feel like it was trying to show like 'the snowflake that started the avalanche' of his emotional troubles, but it felt sooooooo weird.
Give it to me straight: I watched episode 1 and it was a waste of an hour+ of my life, so I've been dragging my feet about watching EP 2 and now EP 3 is out. Did it get any less mind-numbingly dull after EP 1 or should I just drop it instead of waste another hour+ to watch EP 2?
This was a hell of a mix of qualities per episode for Our Skyy 2, but I def think it ended on the highest note possible. Phupha/Tian remains THE couple.
#1: ATOTS #1.5: Bad Buddy #2: MSP #3: Boss&A Babe #4: NLMG #5: Star In My Mind #6: The Eclipse DNW: Vice Versa
(Since ATOTS and Bad Buddy were a crossover I just split them into 1 and 1.5.) (I never watched Vice Versa so I didn't watch these episodes either.)
I mean...when you say it like that 😂Don't forget we also learned the doctor bf seems to want to spend more…
Honestly the whole thing was dumb because like you said, he could have taken a few bites in a hurry, it wouldn't have taken him any time, and as a doctor, he KNOWS he may not get a break for a while, he would KNOW he should get whatever calories he can while he can. Trust me, I have a friend in their last year of residency, she can sleep standing up and leaning against a wall to catch any free moment rest she can get and carries vitamin gummies in her pockets sometimes, she's so used to no free time while she's on rotation.
So he doesn't get his relationship at all AND he's clearly not realistic as a doctor.
It literally makes ZERO sense. Not only did he say he could Pillow Prince whilst he did ALL the work for him to…
That was about the only thing about their relationship that made any sense, tbh. Being not in the mood when you're exhausted makes sense. Thinking THAT is why he's angry when he cooked him a whole ass nice breakfast AFTER he got shut down is so dumb. Who would REALLY think somebody that cooked for you after being told no is angry about being told no, not, you know, the breakfast you skipped out on?
I mean...when you say it like that 😂Don't forget we also learned the doctor bf seems to want to spend more…
Yeah doctor BF doesn't seem to know the next thing about their relationship .... that he's part of.... like wtf? "You're mad I wouldn't have sex with you" BRO HE COOKED YOU A WHOLE NICE BREAKFAST AND YOU RAN OUT AND YOU THINK NOT BEING IN THE MOOD IS WHAT UPSET HIM???
It's like he isn't even aware of his own relationship or something. Ooof.
I just spent an hour and 11 minutes of my life I am never getting back watching a guy be depressed about his empty relationship and lose his job (who for some reason smoked a joint with a kid in a stairwell and got yelled at by a Definitely Evil lady in a magic coffee shop) and a teenager super failing at making a good impression on his new schoolmates.
.... how is it possible to use AN HOUR AND ELEVEN MINUTES to only convey that much information???
I'm not WISHING for it to be bad. I just feel that it will be.
