Lol I give the FML a salute for the efforts..the drag was really dragging lolll! But is it just me or the story line lowkey reminds me of the cdrama “The love you give me”, just some plots like “past friendship” then some misunderstanding which cause them to apart, now the ML is quite rich and the FMl has a child that the ML is unaware of, both children have heart disease, both ML pull up that trick of “child is sick and needs blood immediately so the FML realises the ML cannot donate because they are the child’s parent which makes ML sure that the child is theirs”. It is quite similar! if anyone interested in similar but longer drama then make sure to watch “The Love You Give Me"
i am glad that even if she is playing support character, she is in drama with well known actors that have fan who anticipate their dramas. Hopefully she will gain some recognition, and at the same time i hope her acting be versatile!!
JUST FINISHED THIS AND UGHHH I LOVE ITTTTT..every character has its own moment to shine, i love 3rd and 5th daughters love story. Maybe i just love enemy to lovers lol
Nothing beats seeing a supporting character grow into bigger roles later on. I’ve known Xiao Wen since Falling Into Your Smile and Sweet Tooth, and I’m really glad he’s no longer stuck playing characters who always get heartbroken by the female leads lollll. He’s a great actor with the versatility to take on any role! Also I luvvvvvv these kind of set, modern dramas became boring to me so seeing 80s concept drama just feels refreshing ahhhh

You can keep watching him honestly it is fine. Even if he may not meant it the way it sounds to some, he should have been more careful with his words as an adult, he knows he has alot of SEA fans..so saying such a thing is quite disrespectful.

Nah same here, the politics bit are all talk and not shown much..I would say that is the only downside of this drama, but it is sad as I am invested but cannot understand most of it

This drama is really good, but since it’s your first historical C-drama, I suggest watching another historical one first. In many C-dramas, there’s a lot of political plot, and it can take some time to get used to it. Especially in this drama, there’s a lot of politics, and much of it is discussed rather than shown on screen. However, you can still watch this as your first historical C-drama if you want. Really up to you!!
It is a pity because I liked his dramas, especially SOKP and TBT…he is a handsome guy, I hope he learns and educates himself. Racism at the start of 2026 is a bad start for his own career, watching POJ just makes me feel pity everytime I see his face. Please be mindful of your words in future! But I do hope haters do not use this opportunity to throw trash on him about something else, you can also like someones dramas and acting while not support nor defend their behaviour.

It is out again, they cut some parts out. As far as i know it is because of what linghe said. He said that the drawing xiwei drew of him looks like he was from SEA (not in a positive way, which disappointed many SEA fans of him as he was disrespectful about it.) but he later apologised on weibo. So yeah some clips are cut out.
