The guy isn't an irredeemable villain; he’s just carrying a lot of family baggage and confuses love with control. If you actually pay attention, his tiny hesitations instantly prove that he's totally uncomfortable in his own tough-guy role. Since the female lead doesn’t take any of his nonsense and he’s completely hooked on her sharp mind, his icy facade is melting faster than he’d care to admit anyway.

Correction: It is a Korean-Japanese co-production and the main filming location is Japan 😉

Whenever two dramas air at the same time, absolute chaos breaks out in the production studios. The moment the ratings for Drama A skyrocket, the emergency sirens start blaring at Drama B. The entire production crew gets dragged out of bed in the middle of the night. Fueled by coffee and pure panic, they rewrite the scripts at lightning speed: "Quick, people are loving the breakup angst in 'The Early Spring'! Scrap the happy ending, we need tearful goodbyes right now!"

The crew then rushes to the set in a frantic sprint, the utterly confused actors improvise the new drama on the fly, and the editor probably splices the scenes in while the episode is already broadcasting. All of this just to make sure the ending perfectly mimics the competition. Logic? Overrated. As long as the cliché is checked!

The explanation is correct in theory, but even the best understanding loses its value when such al heavy word is applied to the wrong situations.
