1. the novel has XQ as emperor in the end, but the drama might be different.2. Song betrays XQ3. He had concubines…
in the drama, yes, the 2 maids hoped to be XQ's concubines, but failed. In the novel, they're XQ's concubines though, although after Awu came to Ning Shuo, Awu cast out this 2 concubines and few days after that, after Awu drunk and said Zidan's name, XQ said to Awu that from this day on, Awu is the only woman for XQ, and there will be no one else between them (I think here XQ also meant that Awu must also forget about Zidan).
I guess almost everyone did die... um, in the novel at least, lets pray they changed it for the drama1. Crown…
I really hope the drama will just end before Awu die. But I dunno, somehow I have a feeling they gonna show XQ reminiscing all his moments with Awu as the ending in the vast grassland where they have their short honeymoon trip :'(
I like it so far. I have only watch until ep 6 without fast forwarding or skip anything. The drama not without it flaws, but I'm still enjoying it.
Positive points : I like Xie Yun, he is easygoing, street smart and tend to get out of danger just using his brain and talking LOL, and he is such a comic relief sometimes. The chemistry between ZLY & Yibo is good. Lots of likeable side characters, I even like the villain hahaha well some of them but not a lot show up yet though I think. The pace of the story is sometimes moving in a good pace, sometimes it quite slow down and it goes like that interchangeably, but I've seen quite a lot of wuxia dramas, and I think the drama is like other wuxia dramas that tend to have pace like that. For me, the age gap between ZLY and Yibo didn't shown, kudos to the make up artist, hairstylist and wardrobe of ZLY (and she herself also looks younger than her actual age, so it's a great help too), looks believable to me that she play a young character here.
Negative points : I don't like the background setting of the forest or tree, looks so plasticky, but other looks ok. I also don't like some of the angle the camera took when shooting Yibo, but most of the time I like it. Don't like when the pace is slow down, but since it didn't stay in the same pace like I said earlier, so I'm still enjoying it.
Hopefully I can finish watching until ep 12 this weekend in between my work, looking forward for more episodes to come.
