Yes I completely agree! The king was so insecure of his OWN damn son because he was outstanding! Like what kind of mindset is that!!! How could he view his own blood as an enemy !! I couldn't get around the whole ML not hating his father despite all his efforts !! Also when the king called in the ML for an audience with him, it was solely because the eldest son stepped down from competing for the crown prince position and the third was labelled as a traitor. That was only reason why he named the ML as the heir to the throne!! (Its heartbreaking to see a parent view their own flesh as a complete stranger....)
