Originally they had a plan for that particular plot, but after the backlash they got, they decided to just drop it entirely- They mention at the start of vol 4 that the events of vol 3 were "scripted" and not a representation of their feelings, and effectively said to just forget everything that happened in the entire volume... it probably wasn't the best way to deal with the situation, but they've well and truly moved past it now
Plus, if you're okay with pretending vol 3 never happened, 2J definitely still have their magic in vol 5 and they're very cute in vol 4! And you get to know the others (JYD) too :)

You might be right! I read some fan translations that said it, but they aren't always reliable :( But they definitely said the gap between Vol 4 and 5 would be similar to the gap between Vol 3 and 4 (which was about 2 months) :)
They mentioned during the fanmeet that if everything goes according to schedule, the next volume should be coming out at the end of this month/start of November!

I'm interested in seeing how long they can spin a narrative between JYD though, because if they go with a throuple, there are undoubtedly going to be viewers who will be turned away from the show because of it (I'm thinking mainly of kfans here, if twitter is anything to go by) but if they go with a couple, they risk dragging it out too long... Plus, love triangles often end up with one character being labelled a villain
And with 2J, I'd hate to see them muscled out of the show because the writers can't think of ways to take them forward, so I really hope they have something in mind for them too!
