Drama that are made with the sole purpose of pushing a political opinion are propaganda, regardless of what country they come from.

All drama releasing recently are more "propaganda oriented" than usually. Either straight up propaganda like this one or Hu Tong. Or, as you said, glorifying some kind of government worker (like Light Chaser Rescue or Draw the Line).
It's really too bad. I guess nothing good to watch this month. Those drama are extremely predictable and the whole "china is the best" rhetoric is cringe to watch from abroad.
I just hope it'll be a thriller as written in the drama's tags and not feel like a promotional advertisement for rescue teams with a romance in the background.
This line in the synopsis has me especially worried: "Luo Ben bears witness to the people's sense of camaraderie in the face of adversity and becomes deeply inspired by the volunteer efforts."
This is propaganda in its purest form. They don't even hide it behind historical " patriotic" drama anymore. It's really getting worst.

Funny (non) coincidence Xi Jinping is in power since **2012** and is to be "re-elected" at the **2022** congress of the communist party this week. How surprizing they air this now. I guess, the people of China need to be reminded of all the "sense of happiness" they have gained due to him.
I strongly recommend reading the synopsis of each chapters, they could not make it more obvious even if they wanted. The Han chinese coach who teach to minorities in Xinjiang and "change their live", the chinese builders "rebuilding Africa", the restaurant owners who "regained the love of the people" due to the amazing "eight rules" government policy, etc.
It's also hilarious how it seems to air on absolutely all networks with an episode almost every day of the week. I guess they had no choice. xD
I saw "CCTV" in broadcasting network as well as a cover picture with red and instantly knew it was going to be bad. This kind of "patriotic" shows are not aimed at an international audience.
