My brother has schizophrenia, I grew up with him. Many up and down moment. I also worked in adult mental health unit for a few years. I am in medical profession. I do know different level of mental illness.
My comment said anyone with “paranoid or delusion Symptom/episode” need to seek help and closely monitored, I DID NOT said anyone who had diagnosed with Schizophrenia needs to be locked up. I did not meant to offend you. Just want people to be aware of the early sign of paranoid delusion and seek profession help.
When there are warning sign of paranoid , the patient needs to be treated before it gets worst.
A little silly. Have a few big laughs in the middle. Quite entertaining. Don’t take those ring fight too seriously, then it won’t be that hard to watch. Song Kang Ho movie always have value behind.
Thanks you for the article and address the mental health issue. I know s lot of people have the same issues and struggle within. I find that getting myself involve in some hobby or interest take my mind away from the emptiness. Let life run its own course. We don’t know what future have plan for us until we get there. Also a few good friends and family help.

Totally agreed. I recently had a chance to watch several really Amazing Korean movies such as “A Taxi Driver”, “Joint Security Area”, “Spellbound”, “The Attorney”, “Always” , “My P.S.Partner”, “My Paparotti” , “My Annoying Brother”, “Punch”, “Champion” ” etc. Simple, interesting heartwarming and sophisticated. Surprise to see there weren’t many review. It seems like lots of people only go to the popular one.
First quarter of the movie was nothing out of ordinary. The rest of the movie I was holding my breath waiting for justice, justice, justice. The last scene and the OST brought tears in my eyes. I wish the movie goes on a little longer. I want to know what happen after that. What happen to those students in jail? What happen to the main National Security bad guy? Did the local and international news eventually broadcast the truth?
I don’t know much of the South Korea history. Still learning. Just finished watching “A Taxi Driver” now this movie. It make me sad how bad the military control government treated their own hard working good citizen horribly.
OMG, finally found a way to watch this movie. My heart sank seeing people suffering and dying by their own country men bullet. Lovely people of South Korea. So glad it got liberated. Military control countries are sad.
I am not from Korea. After watching this movie, make me very curious what actually happen in in Gwangju May 18, 1980? How it started? What are the student fighting for? Who is the bad party? How it ended? It almost sound like Tiananmen Square Incident. I am not from China either. It is sad that own people killing own people. It is all about power and money. Government cover up the truth. . It takes educated young scholars to bravely voice up and fight for justice. Got the outsiders attention and help.
