Who is Yu Zhang? Why Xu Kai filming get delay or postpone? What was the big story about?

Watching 3rd episode now, I wish Ye Tan character not so faking crying clinching annoying . I guess I just don’t like weak FL worse when she needs to act weak. Will continue watching hope it gets better. The CG is beautiful.

Don’t understand a thing here, please summarize

Try A shop for Killer and The Glory

Ahh… watch till episode 10, will put this back on-hold. Love Xiao Zhang but this is getting boring. Need to watch something more fun

I only watch first 10 episodes and last 4 episodes. So dark… the plot and the acting is a 6/10 for me

Palace cats fight story are very common in Cdrama. Several really popular one are below
Raise the Red Lantern
Story of Yanxi Palace
Story of Yanxi Palace
The Palace
Ruyi’s Royal Love in the Palace
Empresses in the Palace
The Empress of China

Not quite understand

Ahhh… so sad. I expect Cantonese but looks like a mainland Mandarine speaking short film

Kind of funny. She is not even that fat

Not exactly sure what is the role of the female lead in this short film

Can somebody put the photo of his friend who did drug on the cast list?

Ya, this drama gets very popular back then. It was a great production and great acting overall.

Yu Kai was only 23 yo just starting his filming career. He wasn’t the main male lead at Yanxi Palace, but got lots of fans attention due to his good look. Wu Jin Yan was the main male lead on both drama.

It is good ending for the main leads. Palace cat fights caused several supporting casts death is inevitable. Can’t find this type of high quality production anymore. Same producer “Yu Zhang”

Did Liu Yu Ning sang the OST?

Royal Feast
Mr Queen (Korean)
Jewel in the Palace (Korean)
The Crowned Clown
Red Sleeve

Mee too. I miss this kind of high quality supreme production old drama. Good old drama never left us

The number of episodes scared me first too. Had put this on hold for awhile until after I watch “The Double”. I want more of Wu Jin Yan. I didn’t regret watching this drama. It is solid, real deal, beautifully production, award winning drama. The story and the acting is like a magnet in this drama. You don’t see this kind of real historical drama make anymore
