I love his music too. I don’t spend as much time on movies as music. Don’t get me wrong I do like his acting. I just don’t usually like long series. But I love watching his singing more. He puts his soul in the performance.

I’m just not understanding this concept at all. Why would you spend the time to go around bad mouthing others when they didn’t even do anything personal to you? And XZ doesn’t even have much interactions as other people in field, i.e. variety shows, new year shows, etc. The things that they came up with just make me go.. huh?!

By the way, I was thinking now after this event, XZ will be more known to outside of China. New fans will be looking in to his background and history. I hope they are able to have access to legit resources (like how you guys had helped me).

You noticed that he is a method actor too! 🙂

I usually avoid reading too much reviews and especially reviews from fans as it tends to be biased. Also too much hyping is actually dangerous and sometimes backfire. I trust him and his ability and enjoy his works as surprises. As I also noticed in c-industry, bts are used to promote and sometimes get misinterpreted by viewers. So that kind of ruin the original true intentions of the movie.
What I caught my attention is XZ understands his roles very well and because of that, his acting his very sincere. Even for some scenes he had not able to express completely yet, you would still feel the the effort. There is room for improvements. He just need time to hone his skills and he can be very good. And you can count on him to work hard and improve to be better.

I wouldn’t be surprised that he tries indie films or dabs into directing in the future. His vlogs have that air.
