I agree in many ways, but I would still tell people to watch it. It's been a few years since I have watched it…
For me, I stupidly, naively thought the last two episodes were going to deal with the aftermath of Kyung Joon waking up in his own body. Instead they were a long, excruciating realisation that nothing was going to happen... in slow motion.
The entire drama was basically a wish fulfilment for the female lead (albeit an angst-ridden one). She got the body of a grown man she was attracted to with the personality she was attracted to. Basically, she got the perfect man but only at the expense of her fiancé.
Kyung Joon's real body looked ridiculously young. This was a possible source of real conflict. Once the two men switched back, she would have a real moral quandary to deal with: the personality she loved in the very young body of a teenager and the fiancé she had never really loved in the body she's always been attracted to. I couldn't wait to see how the writers were going to deal with the fascinating quandary.
Instead, I can only assume they panicked and decided to deal with the issue by pretending it didn't exist. Such a cop out! They were the ones who created this dilemma in the first place. They should have dealt with it.
If Shin wasn't available for the back half of the drama that'd be one thing. But if he was available and they willing chose to write this ending... I have no words. I am out of words. This was just terrible.
I have never been so disappointed in a drama. Awesome Gong Yoo being awesome Gong Yoo can't change that. Just like he couldn't save Goblin.
Pree lost me when he went after Pop. His sister made it very clear that he could date anybody as long as he didn't go near Pop. I know he's just realised he's been in love with him the whole time but you do not go after your sister's boyfriend!
I think you're being unfair on Mo though. A big theme of this show is about fighting for your relationships and loving somebody unconditionally. I thought Mo was a great character because she tried very hard to make her relationship work and to understand her boyfriend's behaviour. I liked it that when Mo decided to get back together with him she just gritted her teeth and prepared to wade through the tide of rivals without getting angry or upset. Ultimately that failed but I find it a bit hypocritical to criticise her for fighting for her relationship while judging Rambo for not doing the same thing.
But the best thing about this is Pop. He's just such a lovely, kind, nurturing personality and it's no surprise that everybody is in love with him.
