Damn after seeing that video from the live I wish more people would watch this drama. It's sad to see people not giving it even a little grace and mostly because they keep comparing it to other dramas. Historical cbls are very few too, it's insane. I mean sure - sometimes I'd be like " oh this reminds me of X " but knowing it's a different thing. It would be boring if it was the same. As I said before , some tropes are just common. The lack of promotion is a thing too. Sure you can tell that's his first big role but to me it's good enough and the chemistry is pretty much there. It's very good. They're a good pair. There's a lot of time to improve.

Keep thinking about how people say the acting could be better, sure- I mean to me seems alright but I also think this might be their first important project because before this drama their names didn't even exist on this site.. but to me is so fine, they're doing so good ! - some things obviously intentional ... the chemistry anyway is chemistrying (?) , their shyness, hesitation because of reasons , their frustrations lots of things... Those little moments that gave me butterflies .. ( evil gay crown prince is so evil tho , If I had a penny for every time this happened to me I'd have two pennies which isn't much but it's curious it happened twice ) . It's developing greatly .. if it doesn't have a good ending I'll be wrecked

I have to wait a few more hours before I can finally watch the episode after they left us all hanging like that for a week but I'm already feeling crazy.. I'm definitely normal about this all

Well sometimes I love my bl toxic with a big red flag... Seems like this is for me .. could see from the trailer how much of a red flag Lu Feng is .. idk why people are acting shocked.. it's okay if it's not for you , just don't force yourself to watch it and then complain about everything 😭😭 . Anyway this is interesting to me. I heard a movie adaptation was made before this , should I watch that too ? Or read the novel?

Literally , if you're gonna expect something else, that obviously this is not gonna be , of course you're always gonna be disappointed. Despite the common tropes every story is gonna be different in its own way!! ( Thankfully).. it's sad to see this drama not getting even a little grace. Honestly I struggle too sometimes! It's okay ! Especially with historical dramas , especially when there's a lot going on in the background. Sometimes I'll have to go back. If i drop before the end I just avoid giving judgment, sometimes it's just not for me. We're only two episodes in and there's potential to this.

I know it's not the best I have watched but it isn't even THAT bad... it's the first two episodes, so I'll wait. Also I think people were just expecting another KTL etc (I LOVE those bls too just let's not to that ?) as for some tropes they're kinda common on historical cbls come on..

Historical bls have this pain formula that I'd eat up any day and be very happy ... I'm a simple person

Well anyway ..finally understanding that you romantically love your best friend the moment he died in your arms & you're drawing your last breath as well and kissing his lips has something poetic to it imo.

Everything is so stunning I keep taking screenshots and forgetting to read the subtitles 😭😭 .. but it seems pretty interesting for now , I saw complaints about it being slow.. but to me the pacing is pretty normal... I see that chemistry and I love the characters so far

I miss this one so much I wish I could erase my memory to experience it again for the first time

The last [english] volume of the novel came out today........... it would be a great time to announce this drama's release date.. somebody please free them.. all that hard work to make it gayer can't go to waste.............

I've just watched episode 3 , I cried a little .. how Cai Pingshu died.. how much Zhao loved her aunt. I'm a little confused at the moment but i guess it's normal. I really like the characters and various dynamics. Useless to say that i love Cai Zhao & Chang Ning... Oh Ning always scheming. too goodat putting up the act lol. The visuals are stunning. Yes, this is hella good.

I mean qi yunke sorry, it always takes me a little to remember all the names 😭
