GROUP REINCARNATION?
So I have been reading people's comments here theorizing about who was who in the past life. After counting, I think there were at least six characters reincarnated. If true, talking about group reincarnation, lol. We'll see if the screenwriter can surpass the group reincarnation like in See You in My 19th Life. 😂😂😂

I've never watched the actor before, so my view of Jae Kyung is purely the character, not the actor's work. Imo, the screenwriter sucks at creating the characters. Jae Kyung should be introduced as either Hong Jo's long-time friend or Hong Jo's crush in high school or university. Then his possessive behavior telling off Shi Yun or preventing their relationship is justifiable. The fact that he rejected Hong Jo twice during office life and then suddenly becomes possessive after Shi Yun approaches Hong Jo is deemed by viewers as annoying.

The red hand that showed up in the beginning oddly seemed caressing his face not choking him. That's why a lot of viewers said the hand was sexy, it didn't seem horror despite looks bloody. I think the Joseon Hong Jo died on the Joseon Shin Yu's arm and her last moment was touching his face (like the modern Hong Jo did).

I rewatched the scene where the shaman lady found the child in Ep 9. She doesn't look like Grandma Eun Wol was the shaman lady.

It seems the drama wants him and us to remember little by little both his past and their love. It started with he got a dream of his Joseon little self picking up the berries for a little girl who Shi Yun found out thru a childhood picture that was Hong Jo's face, tho he thought that scene was a school play. What he saw in the Joseon time Ep 9 was not only meeting past Hong Jo, bu also how he lost his mom and being away to be a general. Probably later he was arranged marriage with a princess (past Na Yeon) etc.

As much as people dislike Jae Kyung, I completely agree with what he told Shin Yu: "Because you didn't behave properly, she's the one being accused."
His words represent what we viewers have been thinking all along.

The curse went through the Jang family men though only the worst is on the modern Shin Yu reincarnation. Why would the Joseon Shin Yu curse his own descendants too? I thought more about someone else who cursed the family.

When Hong Jo accused Shin Yu of two-timing (having a girlfriend but said saranghae to her) he said no. But Shin Yu hasn't broken up with Na Yeon, instead asking Hong Jo to wait for him). And then he asked her to be pure and wait for him... like what??? He then accused her of dirtying her mind by liking Jae Kyung. Although she said it's just a one-sided love, still it's love.

Then Hong Jo became cutely shy and all because Shin Yu is so possessive of her, and she's willing to wait... I think instead... run Hong Jo, run!!! He is toxic!!!

The most of all, her called ID on his phone is still Civil Servant... 🤦🤦🤦

True, but another reason I assume the modern Hong Jo is not a descendant of the Joseon Hong Jo, is because according to the story, Shin Yu's ancestor (possibly the Joseon Shin Yu) killed Aengcho. If Aengcho was his shaman girl (Joseon Hong Jo) then she must've been unmarried when she died.
