This is my thought up to Ep 23. I think I know what happened. As you said, Qin Li dating Momo in the past and then breaking up with her for Yi Fei are sadly realistic things that happen in a relationship. I don't think he already marries Yi Fei, I think when he and Momo were together, he two-timed her with Yi Fei. But the key is the USB. Since Momo tried to commit suicide after the breakup, I assume her brother Zheng Bao Song tried to find out about Qin Li and came across that USB owned by Qin Li's sister (perhaps he found it at the sorority meetings). Apparently, Qin Si harbors secrets she put in the USB. So the Qin siblings tried to give Zheng Bao Song money and take care of Momo while wanting the USB back.
I agree with you that Zheng Bao Song wanting to revenge on his sister is not justified. I don't think he wants money, he just wants to revenge. The Qin siblings are just afraid of their secrets being revealed.
The current MDL synopsis sounds like Boys Over Flowers all over again. But someone below commented it's based on a web novel Daydreaming About Me (白日梦我). This is the novel's synopsis:

Redlin is a deity-wannabe, as explained by Yeomra since you already finished the drama. So she's gathering souls to be one. Rembrary is created by Redlin, so he's not a deity himself if she's not. He's just a superpower being, like the grimreapers, but not a deity.
Jang Young-nam's character, Lord Yeomra was also a deity, right?That character was something similar like Kim…
Yup. But Jade Emperor in Tomorrow has a stronger role since she's like the CEO of the enterprise and the whole Tomorrow story is about the grimreapers and their work. In this drama the focus is the priest Rembrary and his mission, so imo Lord Yeomra is just a filler to add a higher-up or powerful deity character into the drama.
