I'm confused with the synopsis... so ML is FL's son, but who is his dad??? His surname is Qi as her surname is. If her supposedly future husband is Lu Xiao, ML's surname should be Lu, unless they got divorced and she is single when he was born. This is IMO follows the usual school romance trope with smart-ass ML and not-so-smart FL (at least she is not poor as other cliche FLs) from high school to college, and the usual Chinese government PPL on youth dramas that students have to do good in schools. I guess there will be an unnecessary 'love triangle' between ML-FL-SML since SML becomes jealous of FL's mentor who is ML. I also guess that towards the end there is angst/sadness because ML needs to go back to the future and won't exist anymore (one particular image in the Photo section kinda gives away this guess)... because it's all in FL's dream... 🤦
He Yin actually appears in Ep 29, so hopefully we get to see more of her! But from the previews, it seems that…
It's a good thing actually, something needs to stir Jiu Er emotion, she overthinks things (end of Ep 28 when she has imaginary convo with her belated father and godfather). But somehow I feel the screenwriter put in He Yin as a filler only...
From the trailer, I got a vibe similar to Kdrama "Live Up to Your Name". FL is a modern doctor who time travels to the past and meets ML who is a traditional doctor, then ML time travels to the present and meets FL.
From the trailer: Tan Song Yun again proved that she could still play as a high schooler, but Jing Bo Ran looked kinda too old in that school uniform, tho!
Several days ago I asked around in this comment section about the character who hasn't shown up yet, He Yin, but…
I rewatched Ep 15, there is this convo between Prince Jun and a marquis who is He Yin's father. So He Yin has had a long-time crush on Prince Jun since they are little. But Jun is scared and avoided her and her father for a while, lol. According to his assistant eunuch, because He Yin has a strong personality like her father. Han Zheng says He Yin is a good match for Jun and Jiu Er agrees even like her parents "one subdues the other", lmao. Also, He Yin seems strong in physique because the father wants Jun to go to the hunting ground to meet her.
About the love triangle: I think Jun only has a crush on Jiu Er and mostly is happy because finally, he found the girl who saved him before when they were little. But it's not a deep love since he doesn't pursue Jiu Er further. As a prince of Qian, he can do that, especially with his doting mother and supporting brother. In a way, I think he also admires Han Zheng and even wants him to be his brother (Jun calls him Brother Han), so he's kinda okay with Han Zheng being with Jiu Er. He also misses his brotherhood with Wen Ying, since when he comes to visit the Queen in Ep 23 he told his mom he misses the day when he and Wen Ying were little under his mom's care. Running around with Hang Zheng investigating crime cases is like playing detective games with a brother...
So, let's hope this He Yin, besides being strong, also has a good personality. Like Chi Lan.

The two ML's declared their friendship based on trust, but I think that will come crashing down when the 2nd ML…
I looked at it differently. It needs a strong woman/queen to be by the Crown Prince's side to be his moral support to navigate treacherous Joseon as the future king, and Jae Yi fits that position since she's intelligent, calm, brave, and wise, besides she is a noble lady. I think as his best friend, Sung On will realize that need for Yi Hwan, and later cancels his marriage agreement with Jae Yi. Besides, he has the pretty princess Ha Yeon who has a big crush on him, but he never fosters her crush since he keeps his marriage agreement with Jae Yi. I like the princess, she's kind-hearted and doesn't look down on Soon Dol. I almost thought before she would have a crush on the pretty eunuch, lol.
... they were a bit sad, but I still really enjoyed them. If anything they made me appreciate this drama even…
Not to say that they tried to make the audience smile with the investigators worrying about Jiu Er chopping a whole month's office supply of watermelons. I smiled between tears...
Thank goodness, the trios are back together again and the men fighting in the love triangle😁That's certainly…
Ikr... I cried watching Ep 23 and 24 so I looked for the next episode previews, lol. So definitely the separation doesn't last long and also the misunderstanding about Uncle Hu's killer.

Our girl is impatient, isn't she? 🤣🤣🤣
