You've seen how women in this drama was treated, they even been used to to sacrificing at the beginning of the…
How about Yu Wen? Can he raise to the throne and become an emperor?

The Red Sleeve isn't a melodrama, it's historical and based on real history. I suppose history is melodramatic.
Not always... it's just it has a melodrama genre on it, and since it was on the top for that genre so it came up during the search.

If they kill Fu Wang and Rong An, can Wan Wan raise to the throne and become the empress? I mean she's from the Murong family. I like her and I want her to be the ruler since she's BFF with the couple, lol.

Thank you for this long and informative article, ChoNa! :)If I may, the above mentioned "historical" dramas are…
I know, right? I agree with you. I didn't watch Under the Queen's Umbrella or LLTG, but since I wrote an article on AOS1, I absolutely know that is not historical, but a fantasy drama. In China, they don't regard them as historical dramas but as costume dramas.

I think somehow there should be a modification on genre definition or genre categorization, since there is a long debate about historical vs period/costume drama, the same as xianxia is not supposed to be categorized in wuxia. Also when I read the definition of the Family genre it says it's suitable for children but at least for Rivalry and The Love Proposal, definitely not suitable for children.

I observed this list since November and actually, Mystery to Iunakare was at the top for Jdrama and Psychology genre, then First Love Hatsukoi came out and replaced Iunakare to be the top, and when AIB2 came out it replaced Hatsukoi. I actually hesitated to put AIB2 because it was only released a week before the end of the year so the rating was still somewhat not stable.

Yeah, I would love to watch more Jdramas too cos they're short, but finding out the sub is a pain. The need to deal with joining this and that group, torrent, soft sub, etc gave me headaches already ;D

Love the article. To me the standout dramas were the glory, business proposal, attorney woo, falling into you.…
Hmm, probably you're right! I only started watching Asian dramas continuously in the mid 2019, and never made a list like this not until now. Starting 2021 (post COVID) I just feel like too many dramas dropped all episodes at once, or long dramas with such short airing period. We could not really 'savor' them, just watched them quickly and moved on to the next one.

Which drama you guys are waiting for the most?
The most? Home School for now (Q1). Midnight Museum for later (Q3 or Q4).

This is a pretty good list. 1. How many 2022 released dramas did you watch?  76 - Completed. 23 - Still to be…
I observed these ratings since November and Gaus Electronics was actually on the top for the Business genre. Then it was beaten by Reborn Rich.

I started to monitor the top dramas since November and at that time Triage was still on the list for one of top…
Since you love romcom and you want to try watching cheerful Jdramas, I watched and wrote 2 recaps on these dramas. Don't worry no spoiler for the plot:

https://kisskh.at/article/watching-a-remake-kanojo-wa-kirei-datta
this is a remake of the Korean She Was Pretty so if you watched that one you know the plot already.

After watching this one I bet you no longer say Jdrama is dark, lol cos it's full of colors.

Yay new Wang You Shuo fans. Been a fan of his for a while. Him being a cinnamon roll as a Demon King got me good…
This is only my second time watching his drama. The first is Young Blood but I like all 6 characters, the plot, and the wuxia fighting scenes, so I kinda forgot about him lol

Don't forget the upcoming Home School (with Gun). The currently airing Midnight Motel with Off is not bad either…
Home School is not horror... it's thriller and mystery.

I'll be there for any OffGun, though mostly for Gun. I'll maybe even try some supernatural vibes in Midnight Museum…
Don't forget the upcoming Home School (with Gun). The currently airing Midnight Motel with Off is not bad either with Off's signature jokes. It's short only 6 episodes will finish this week.

OMG... Only 7 from the lists above?! It sure felt I would've watched a lot more...1. 32 dramas from 2022.2. South…
#3. Omg, same here, lol! For me, 'Death' has started creeping up too on my stat. I made a post on that:

Probably because I watched more and more historical and non-romance? Idk...

#6 I don't think I'll ever watch that... Need to set aside special time to sit down cos usually I watch on the go with other dramas.

The Internet watches too many dramas with drinking scenes, lol... No... earlier the Admin published both articles by mistake, then they corrected it. But you can also see on the top right when you were reading my other article Upcoming GMMTV Thai Shows

I loved the article. I find that I have watched most of them on the list. Do I agree with most of these? Yes,…
I started to monitor the top dramas since November and at that time Triage was still on the list for one of top Thai dramas and also in medical genre. I think the rating went down?

What was your previous perspective about Jdramas if you don't mind sharing? If you feel uncomfortable it's ok. I came to the point I can even enjoy manga adaptations with ott acting straight-out-of the mangas. The only drawback for me is to find them subbed.

In 2020 I tried the MDL Challenge but when I saw I had to watch super old drama or movie... forget it, lol! The graphic qualities gave me headaches...
