I only watched him in Fights Break Sphere since Xiao Zhan is there too, but Baron Chen's character has little screen time. So I'm glad I saw him more in Heroes ;D

Yeah, in Cdrama, the real time traveling is banned, as it's considered as non-scientific and superstition. So, the time traveling is always ends up being a dream during sleep, coma, passing out, or in a VCR game, lol.

I actually like watching under-marketing dramas with non-popular actors, since I don't have any expectation of anything (story, acting, cinematography, etc) only because by reading the synopsis sounds interesting. When it turns out to be good, it's a surprise.

If you like the ML, I think you'll like this one. I'll just say that you may need some time gap to watch both versions. For me, for any remake, I will subconsciously compare one to another version unless I already kinda forget about the previous one ;D

For writing this article, I actually rewatched the duel scene in TLB to compare LYN's acting skill on the martial art/fighting scenes with the ones on Heroes. Because there are negative comments on his character and acting skill in Heroes. That's when I found out that the editing is the culprit in this drama. In TLB the fighting scenes editing are so smooth.

If you really like LYN you should watch his latest reality show The Truth ;D

Thanks for finding the summary. I, too, love good summary as I hate misleading ones. I rather read a long one that probably is the summary of the whole drama aka spoiler. Especially if the story line turns ugly later, I need to be informed before deciding to watch it.

Unless for mystery and crime genres, their synopsis are better left as vague as possible.

Lol... can't help to put the scene where SMZ and YWX looking up at BCF 'swimming'. Their facial expressions are just perfect.

I also watched till Ep 30. I think editing is the weakest in this drama that makes the story all over the place.

Before watching this drama I actually dug a little bit about the original source, Say Hero Who is Hero, that is actually a series of 10 books. Without a great screenwriter, the plot will be all over the place as you mentioned.

In the same Chinese article I read, that was written after their booting ceremony, people were worried when knowing Li Mu Ge directed this one as he never directed wuxia before. Yeah, I agree with you they spent too much money on the pretty stuff as I mentioned above instead of hiring the best martial arts director or trainers to train the actors. Nothing personal against the Arts Design Director tho.

That's a good idea especially if you like all 3 MLs as per novel they would separate. Not bloodshed yet tho as per Episode 30 I watched

Sorry for the late reply, I was busy in IRL. In the same article I read, people were worried when knowing Li Mu Ge would directed this show as he's never made a wuxia before. So, I guess his other drama Good Bye My Princess is not wuxia although on MDL is categorized as one? (I don't watch that one)

Anyways, I wished that he spent that big of a budget during filming to make great action scenes instead of pre-production (costume, prop, set, etc).

I notice romcoms don't usually turn out sad endings, tho probably open endings. So, yeah, like you I don't think this one. I have watched till Ep 27 and actually I found more screen time between the couple after the truth is revealed.
