Not really... long is subjective, but there are many people regard a drama with 49 episode is long, especially if they are other country's drama watchers. Medium length for Cdramas is 24 episodes.

NRTA regulation is the length of episode to be 40 max, but lets it sly several extra episodes or a production team has to cut or makes 2 parts. It seems the plan itself for this drama was 50 episodes, because the ending is rushed.

Also, we wanted to put the "long" in the article title but the drama itself already has a "Long" in its title. We are suggested to change it since it's repetitive.

I finished all three of the J version (S1, S2, and movie) and I don't remember if there's amnesia... I'm so messed up with all versions I watched, tho only watched them 3 years ago! That's why I can't participate in the drama comment section cos I will comment on the wrong version and confuse people, lol

Yeah I see there are difference in ratings. I often found Thai and J dramas are underrated but they are good. For example: just because it's S/K (slap and kiss, in Thai drama) people rate it low. Or for J drama, just because the acting is like straight out of manga, lol, people rate it low. Cos both Thai and J dramas are usually not for international consumption (GMMTV are usually different, like F4TBOF), they don't care what international audience culture.

Try to watch Episode 1 and see if you like it.

There is but unlicensed. It means the author/publisher never give permission. So they have to make the story line different. Cos if they make it the same, they can get sued.

I didn't watch SH but I watched LA S1 and S2 (back to back) and Nevertheless. I watched the last 3 with heavy heart cos I read too many of the reviews, I think, and was in dilemma (both for LA and NL). I wished I never read the reviews so I could've watched them with zero expectation either good or bad. But many times reviews/comments save my time to not watch bad dramas. But it seems Kdrama viewers have two extremes: either overrate them just because the actors are the faves or very harsh on them. Sometimes I'm scared reading the comments in Kdramas...

Lol... skeleton head for tsundere boys... I think the dark male leads/bad boys probably are more popular in FF world, especially if the writers can write convincing characters and love stories... but when adapted into dramas sometimes they picked actors who cannot act mean so people considered them cold/still aka cannot act. Then the stories are written badly. If those guys are paired with doormat girls, we will see how negative the reviews/ratings on MDL are... Ah, I give you an example: Nevertheless ;D
