So after checking a few episodes of this drama you will continue? It's still 5 episodes in tho...
Who knows by the time you watch a few more episodes you finish the drama without realizing it, lol... this version seems does pretty good job putting cliff hangers in every end of the episode ;D
the one thing i appreciate about thai remakes is that they always put their own flair to them, the premise of…
Hmmm... a lot of people saying that the Thai Full House is way better than the Korean one. Everyone raved how good Mike and Aom in it. I have yet to see... I watched Let's Fight Ghost that is Thai remake of the Korean Bring It On Ghost and liked it better than the original. The couple, Saint and Orn, has better chemistry than the original, and a lot of character's stories are fleshed out. But I also watched the Thai Put Your Head on My Shoulder a remake from the original Chinese one. Still I like the Chinese one better. I feel like New cannot surpass Lin Yi's charm, though the FL is quite good although she is a newcomer for the drama.
LoL, thank you for actually referencing my exact stance! I fall in the second bullet point of trying a version…
Wow... you're a Jdrama watcher and don't like the J version? I think the J version is more manga-ish style. I remember many times the FL says "Huh?", the convo is so manga, hahaha. I like the J version and yet to see if the Thai version surpasses it ;D
i just wanted to say that the chn ver was the worst for me... i just didn't like the plot they made and the unbelievable…
Yeah, in order to pass the tight censorship, they had to change stuff different than the manga. Also, with the expensive production PPL seems obvious in MG2018 and subtly in this drama.
I really liked the point about the bullying. Several shows have touched upon how bad the bullying is in schools…
Yeah it seems like the bullying is bad in schools in Thailand, that GMMTV director said that their reason to obtain the license for HYD because of that issue. I wonder if they also mentioned their society's issue to the manga author or her rep that they gave the permission. Other countries have asked but not given license.
Not really... long is subjective, but there are many people regard a drama with 49 episode is long, especially…
I don't remember when NRTA implemented the 40 episode caps but I still see Cdramas more than 40 episodes. 24 episodes are mostly contemporary drama. You must've seen the 50+ episodes in costume/historical.
When I watched it, it was not subbed so I used the auto translation. Since there are other side stories (on her…
When I saw your profile name it sounds familiar... now I remember I saw yours in the article spreadsheet. You're writing an UFG on Evan Lin. Is it done? I want to read about him. I saw him in Crush ;D
The OST makes it seem more dramatic than it actually is I think, depends on you, I've watched entire dramas because…
Actually, I watched drama Lover or Stranger because Liu Yu Ning sang the OST, after reading the subbed lyrics and hearing his sad voice (it's a melo drama), hahaha. And since he is my favorite OST singer, I made a custom list of all his OSTs and follows his Weibo to find out his newest work. That's how I found out that he sang this OST. But I have been slowly walked away from school dramas unless it's really interesting ;D.
I watched till ep 5 too. Have you watched other versions before or okay with a bit spoiler? I will tell you why…
My thinking if I were Gorya... "at that time I was very sad because I lost my only friend at school, Hana. I was still shocked about what Thyme/F4 told about the horrible things she did to me. I even more shocked when she left school she didn't say anything, I was ready to forgive her if she apologizes. So, I was eating at the cafetaria alone, feeling miserable, since before Hana was always with me and we chatted about girly stuff. Then the mean girls came, and it seems they wanted to a... pologize, but it's hard cos they don't usually apologize to lower class people. I was waiting for their apology... but then Thyme came and tried to fix things his own way... and as usual also ruins things."
This is a great article but the title is kinda misleading lolLengthy isn't the right word for The Long Ballad…
Not really... long is subjective, but there are many people regard a drama with 49 episode is long, especially if they are other country's drama watchers. Medium length for Cdramas is 24 episodes.
NRTA regulation is the length of episode to be 40 max, but lets it sly several extra episodes or a production team has to cut or makes 2 parts. It seems the plan itself for this drama was 50 episodes, because the ending is rushed.
Also, we wanted to put the "long" in the article title but the drama itself already has a "Long" in its title. We are suggested to change it since it's repetitive.
