I have watched SIL and My Unicorn Girl, both are winter sport dramas, so I was kinda bored when watching TFWY because they all share the same themes though different story lines. In SIL the couple were childhood friends so their flashbacks are funny.

If you wanted to watch TFWY for Wang An Yu, try his other drama Forever Love. That's a really good drama!

Yeah, Stephen Zhang and Liang Jie's acting in DOBY is great!
I still remember major scenes in Secret Garden too, that's why the GIFs came from there. Though now I thought about it, they are cringey scenes hahaha.

You're right... I heard other live adaptation from popular animes whom anime fans hate cos there are so many cuts. I think Japan can make it right tho, as long as not a movie which they will cut a lot!
