Sorry, I was away the whole day for IRL activities yesterday and didn't have a chance to reply. So, in the manga there is never any love triangle going on? Not the first one when Tsukushi has a crush to Rui, but the one that Rui actually falls for Tsukushi. I don't read the manga neither watched the first adaptation, which is in my opinion is the Tw one not the J movie. Then it appears the Tw version gave an idea for the rest of the versions to add in the love triangle? The earliest version I watched is the J trilogy and I remember that Rui and Tsukushi agree to try dating and she picked a dress etc for her first date thinking that she has to appear nice. Tsukasa drags his fiancee to follow them and he is angry when seeing Tsukushi looking so pretty dressing up while dating Rui, meanwhile with Tsukasa she just appear as she is. LOL

Let me give you an example. The 3 screens put together about the interview with Kavin is not in any version I watched. I was eating when I watched that interview scene and anxiously waiting for an upcoming important scene following the interview. When Kavin says "... and we are not that good looking..." I actually burst out laughing and spilled my food. That kind of surprise, you know... ;D

I only see the rest are more two dimensional characters: F4, FL's friends etc. Even FL narration is more focused on the love story instead of life story. The only know who somewhat has deeper characterization is the F4 childhood friend (ih the Korean version she cuts her hair at her party).

If you're talking about bullying problems, it's my wish put in the article that they will not only address it but solve it in a small scale (the Kocher high school). Like I wrote, it's not necessary that F4TBOF solves it cos the manga doesn't. The romance part is not happening yet in my opinion, so not too much to tell but giving out a spoiler to readers who never watched HYD that ML falls for FL at the first kick, haha. Episode 4 is their first date, but Gorya strongly refuses that to be called a date since Thyme basically forced her to go with him. That's why I wrote is with parenthesis 'date'. But for us it is a date, alright, they spent hell of long hours together. Why is not happening, because on Episode 4 Gorya hasn't liked Thyme yet. She just come to see him because she's afraid for his wrath and her phone is dead. What's happening is more like mutual knowledge. understanding, and empathy from both sides that they just found, probably like the beginning of a friendship.
