Cho Na

I don't think I will make another article on the same drama, tho, sorry. Cos there are other dramas to make article on ;D

lmao... I'm glad you enjoy the drama ;D

romtasy... lol, that's a new subgenre I just know about from ;D

the temptation to watch ;D

IMO the political is not as heavy as usual sageuk because the mystical/fantasy element itself is the main focus in this drama. If you check, there is no political genre here. The political struggle is clear, as another commenter down below said that the villains are as plain as they can be. Unlike politic-focused historical dramas (for example Joy of Life which the politic scheme itself is secretive and complicated you have to watch it) you can skip the political part and watch for the fantasy/romance part.
Although I put a spoiler warning/disclaimer, I actually didn't reveal the big mystical/fantasy secrets in this article. You will find out yourself when you watch it ;D
Waiting for MDL to give the feature of entry date the dramas in any list maybe will take a long time or never happen, lol. But you know you can solve it by putting dates on the notes and sort them, right?

Yeah I can imagine the lenses should be light pink, if they were red he wouldn't be able to see things accurately ;D

In my favorite makeup actually was looking at his eyes to find if I can see his contacts but found none, lol. I myself thought the lens colors are actually pink not red

Oh for real? She's involved in the making?

haha... probably when you venture to historical Cdramas you get more non-romance as there are more of them ;D

lol... actually I would have been waiting till it finishes airing if I were not writing the article, primarily due to the ending. I watch historical Cdramas a lot and many of them are OE. This drama actually has a good promise since the novel ending is a HE ;D

Romance sells, but it's a good question. So far:
https://kisskh.at/707971-taejong-yi-bang-won (no date)
https://kisskh.at/685971-eosajoidyeon (Nov 1). But although it's not a romance genre and no romance mentioned in the synopsis, but there is a 'romance' tag.

Is that in Indonesian or Malaysian?

Actually I wondered about the (lack of) eye expressions because of the eye color too until I saw the scene where I got the first GIF from. I thought he is quite emotional there.

That what worries me, Prince Joo Hyang is not an original character from the novel, they just added for the political struggle, I think. I'm not sure with other villains. I'm not familiar with the screenwriter who supposedly created this character, have you watched her work?

Hopefully... especially with what's happenings in Cdramaland, cancellations and delays, more fantasy sageuk is very welcomed! ;D

She was diagnosed with thyroid disease (not sure which one) a few years back and had to take a break from acting. She came back last year with Backstreet Rookie. Oh she also acted a dark character in a movie last year. I don't watch it cos it's horror.

I think TEL is a web novel and used to be ongoing and has like 2500+ chapters lol with tons of arcs. It's easy to keep making sequels out of it as long as they can cast the same actor and actress since it seems they are the main draw. No I'm talking about physical novels like Ever Night or Joy of Life that are finished with "who knows when and with who knows who cast" sequels ;D

Can't argue more with an AHS's fan ;D. I have Abyss in my PTW but I heard negative things about the drama's story so I am not planning to watch it soon and not interested in FIS with multiple characters. I just thought acting as someone with disability is not easy so it's quite praiseworthy.

So this is a live-shoot drama? But don't they have to somewhat follow the original story? I mean, since this is a 2016 novel, a lot of Koreans should've already read it therefore (Korean) audience feedback should be based on the novel.

KYJ and KSH: I have no preference though I watched dramas with KSH more partly due to KYJ's health issue in the past years she was absent in dramaland. I think they cast KSH often due to her ability to portray protagonist, antagonist, and gray characters. I cannot see KYJ as a villain.

I love you named the characters, lol! Regarding Bellatrix, when I saw they/the writer also include a shaman character I remember the shaman lady in METS, that is quite an interesting character. RIP Jeon Mi Seon!

The demons and gods part: I think it's a good start, we all know CGI in Kdramas (not Kmovies) can be bad (TKEM lol). Chinese productions, especially made by Tencent, should be good cos Tencent also produces games. So the CGI part of their fantasy dramas are most likely done by the gaming designers.
