Yeah I thought I ought to share the list with you. I actually started a drama (and later wrote a recap on it, now still with the editors) just because of listening to one of his new OSTs, lol. What a reverse...

Thank you! It was quite challenging for me to write a recap article on a mystery drama with lots of secrets in it, as it cannot follow the usual format for a recap. Yes I think the story is more like playing a big puzzle game where each character has several pieces of puzzles and when you are done you're like "oh ok" since you already know the result from the box cover.
I wrote (actually it's co-writing) about a crime drama (it doesn't have crime genre but actually there are crime cases) if you're interested in Chistorical and want to check. The drama itself is very good with a 8.4 rating in MDL (and highly accepted in China)

First I watched him in Rookie Historian. I actually cried with him in the scene when Yi Rim's writing tools are taken away by the King. That's one rare scene I still remember though I have watched hundreds of dramas! I think I made GIFs of him drinking PPL soda in My ID, and when students fan-girling him in True Beauty, lol. Not for article but personal collection only ;D. Looking forward for him as a bubbly priest in Island.

Thanks for your compliment on the pics/gifs! Re: drama, I think it's not always heavy as it has also comedy genre in it. The humor is more like dry-wit humor as Myeol Mang is sarcastic and Do Kyung cares less on being graceful. Also the religion/philosophy is disclaimed as fictional. It means we can just enjoy it as entertainment only. I agree with you to take time watching it. Binging it in one-go will be somewhat tiring imo.

I think that school fundraising thing is just for the drama to pass the government censorship. Cdramas pass faster/easier if they include motivational social projects thing for the betterment of the Chinese people. IMO, they should put the school thing in the middle right after YZ and XD visited the school at the first time. Since they put the school thing almost in the end it becomes a stretched anticlimax. Though I think I like the end XD is not with anyone. She just enjoyed being with friends and her sister, and the restaurant. She never loves YH, right? But ending up together with YZ is also not right either. But in the last scene when YZ comes to the restaurant during gathering and looking from the street, XD actually lifts up her head and smiling and he's smiling too. So though it's OE but more inclines towards HE.

Probably because I have watched costume/historical Chinese dramas that many of their dialogues are poetical with double meanings (some even quoting Chinese proverbs and ancient poems), that I was familiar with symbolic and philosophical type of dialogues on DAYS. But the 'religion' in DAYS is actually fictional...
